GOVERNING BODY MEMBERS' *****FREE VACATIONS ***** Governing Body can and do vacation all over Earth. For example at places in the Carribean and Pacific. Where do you think the money comes from? Going to London is commonplace. The Governing Body, spokesman Brown, lawyers appreciate the donation$ they say go to "Jehovah's praise" They can select a convention to go to and speak at So one day they can be in Tokyo........... Two days later they can be in Australia....... go to a convention then after it's over enjoy visiting a lovely beach They can take in a Bible convention in Egypt... also sight-see while there, say, at the Great Pyramid Governing Body members get some six weeks a year of vacation time and they can combine the vacation time with speaking at conventions etc all over the United Sates, Canada or by zone visits to points all over the earth.  They regularly vacation at places average people can only dream about.  Commonly they address audiences of five to thirty thousand persons, and they are the guests of honor with the best of food and lodging among other idolizing JWs.  (Source: Former Governing Body member Raymond Franz on pages 276-277 of his  Crisis Of Conscience paperback, fourth edition, revised and updated.  Published by Commentary press of Atlanta in 2007.) The average Jehovah's Witness often hears that Governing Body members get only about a hundred dollars a month and live in humble apartments at Bethel headquarters in Brooklyn. In fact they also get:  to travel anywhere in the world they care to apply for and even do so numerous times in a year, vacation time, free meals not just at Bethel but when traveling, free dental work, free medical care, free laundry and maid clean-up service, and "Green Hand Shakes." Green Hand Shakes are where someone such as a wealthy local Elder or someone else wanting to curry favor or wheedle "priveleges," shakes hands with a Watchtower official such as a Circuit Overseer, District Overseer or Governing Body member and while doing so passing to them a check or dollar bills. Some Green Hand Shakes can be substantial.  According to researcher Barbara Anderson, decades ago a wealthy patron gave a check of over twenty thousand dollars to then Watchtower President Nathan Homer Knorr on a yearly basis.  For some reason, though, he only gave seventeen thousand dollar checks each year to later Watchtower President Frederick ("Freddie") Franz.  Other "patrons" and "supporters of the Kingdom" also gave.  Probably we'll never know, but it's not unimiginable that Knorr and Franz cleared fifty to a hundred thousand dollars in such gifts every year.  Not to say that every single Governing Body is this second getting such "donations," but it would also be surprising, in view of Anderson's revelations, if some weren't. It's also said that Knorr and previous Watchtower President Joseph Rutherford also got non-money gifts such as cars and, at least in Knorr's case, an airplane.  No doubt they felt that they were well-entitled to such "gifts," that "slave is worth his wages."  Would they have said the same of other JWs getting such "gifts"? It has been written that Circuit and District Overseers, as said, also get Green Hand Shakes.  Expensive Rolex watches have also been mentioned for the COs and DOs.  Watchtower Society does not account for gifts of money or items to COs, DOs or Governing Body members, and it would be great if someday Caesar's sword (Romans 13) insisted that they do so.

GEOFFREY JACKSON, GOVERNING BODY MEMBER More and more is being heard about Geoffrey Jackson from Bethelites.  Sources say although Geoffrey Jackson (b. 1955) grew up on Tasmania island off the coast of southeastern Australia, he has also had some powerful connections to the Gold Coast region, a major tourist destination remindful of Honolulu or Los Vegas in the United States.  Therefore, farther along some more information is also presented about the Gold Coast.  Now deceased Ted Jaracz, who had been alleged a pedophile by Pat Garza (see elsewhere re Jaracz and Garza) groomed and got Jackson appointed on the Governing Body in 2005.   Another connection is that Jaracz himself had also served as a Watchtower representative at the Australian branch in past decades until he allegedly got into a sticky situation, was removed but then later installed on the Governing Body by then President Nathan Knorr.  It is said that Knorr put Jaracz on the Governing Body, which he resented as he knew it was going to eclipse the President in power, to be a thorn in the side of it. Returning to Jackson, JWFacts on JWD has related of him that "He is extremely witty and a few of his childhood friends were put out by his appointment, thinking he was not serious enough to be on the GB.  People also were quite offended when he started to claim to be of the anointed in his late 30's (or possibly early 40's)."   It needs perhaps explained that the "anointed" is a term which among Jehovah's Witnesses means a person who is part of an elite group remaining of only 144,000 who get to go to heaven while all the other Jehovah's Witnesses must live on earth.  The Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses teaches that the anointed are declared righteous in heaven and thus saved or given salvation; but the "Other Sheep" or "Great Crowd"  get only benefits by extension from being their friends, teaching and preaching.  In Watchtower's doctrinal purview, to be anointed is to be a close brother to Christ or even another Christ. JWFacts continues: "He made the first dictionary for the language of Tuvalu where he was a special pioneer and became favoured by the king of Tuvalu who he would have meals with, so he does not seem to have an issue with mixing with politics...  I personally think he is too smart to be on the GB and not see that it is crazy religion. But that he has gotten so far in the religion indicates he does believe in it. From 1979 to 2003, they were missionaries doing much translation of Watchtower literature in Tuvalu, Samoa, and Fiji.  In 1992, Jackson served on the Branch Committee in Samoa, and from 1996, on Fiji's Branch Committee.   He and his wife became part of the Bethel staff family at the world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, in April of 2003.  They worked in the Translation Services Department.  In 2005, as said helped by Ted Jaracz, he was appointed to the Governing Body.  Since the death of his mentor, confirmation from different sources has come that he is one of the three Governing Body members who are doing the most to set Watchtower policies. WATCHTOWER HEAVY LEON WEAVER Leon Weaver has been made president of Watchtower’s corporate group for New York. This is no surprise to those who know him since he has been "Mr. Zealous" at Bethel for many decades working as a Circuit Overseer, a Service Department enforcer, and on the top-level Service Committee.  He has also been a Vice President of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.   Seeming to be charming, amusing and disarming, Leon has directed harsh Theocratic Warfare tactics against opposers especially those Ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses deemed “apostates.”  This likely helped him rise in the organization early and to maintain momentum as paranoia struck after the 1975 fiasco followed by a widening witch-hunt against reform-minded Ray Franz and others from the early 1980s. He is an African-American who is also a close friend of the African-American head of Public Relations, J.R. Brown.  He is utterly devoted to doing the mother organization’s will.  Physically he looks shorter but may be about six feet tall, is of thin bones, has very long fingers, wears glasses, sports a mustache, has a somewhat receding forehead.  His voice is clear, become more raspy but also dignified in the past ten years in particular. He has always highly stressed doctrinal “unity,” and has been a pusher of preaching at doors and keeping up Watchtower’s finances with the building and use of assembly halls and other real estate matters. He is much into the idea that everyone is out to persecute himself and other valiant warriors fighting for Jehovah God and that Armageddon will be happening any second.

THEIR FURNISHINGS ARE LIKE THOSE IN "HIGH END CONDOS" I was talking on the phone with a sister who switched from the Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses to the Bible Students light years ahead in being freer.  She formerly helped high level members of Watchtower in New York state and Brooklyn, often was in apartments of their elete including some of the Governing Body.  Here is some of what she says. The apartments they have are what I'd call like that of high-end condos.  They get driven around in fancy cars by the Bethelites.  At least the older ones have people who will even dress them.  When they want to get out of the city they go upstate to estates at Wallkill and Patterson.  They aren't lacking anything.  This is more common knowledge among a lot of the Witnesses living in New York. The sister has good ability comparing the furnishing in the apartments of the Bethel heavies including Goverming Body members to that of "high-end condos."  For example, she has often traveled with California movie stars.  Along with their luxurious apartments come Jehovah's Witness maids who work without pay to keep the apartments clean and tidy.   Of course, Watchtower's top attorneys also get their share.  Some have fancy homes along the backroads near Patterson, New York, making those hard-to-see.   Some reading this may think "but the person I studied with and books I read long ago said the Governing Body members and other important persons in the world headquarters live in these tiny apartments without any luxuries, so she must be lying!" Decades ago except for the apartments of, for example, then President Nathan H. Knorr, many of the apartments for other Bethel heavies apparently were not so steeped in luxury.  But the sister who only left Watchtower in 2009 says with time everything changed for the worse not just insofar as Christian freedoms being trampled but also with the top officials becoming, as she put it, more materially corrupted. What if poor Jehovah's Witnesses in the Phillippines, in India, in Poland, Ecuador and the Domican Republic knew these things?! Marvin Shilmer also has a copy on his website of a passport of Charles Taze Russell but it was not until Rutherford's time that Watchtower began telling Jehovah's Witnesses that God disapproves of oaths or pledges of allegiance.  As you can see the Watchtower Presidents haven't abided by the same laws that they have imposed on regular JWs, and which JWs must go by or else be disfellowshipped (severely shunned) and falsely labeled "apostates."

Adams was invited to Brooklyn headquarters and was secretary to then President Nathan Homer Knorr.  In the 1960s he was a zone overseer, later missionary director and on the Bethel Home Committee. After Milton G. Henschel stepped down he became President of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, the oldest and most important of the umbrella of corporations of Jehovah's Witnesses and he heads the overall Governing Body as well. Insofar as known his role has been administrative, not dealing with doctrinal issues and decisions.  He appears to do all he can to stay out of the media.  After Love and Norris (lovenorris.com) determined in the Napa Valley, California, lawsuits that Don A. Adams is the "most knowledgeable" person in the entire Watchtower umbrella of corporations as to what it does, etc, Watchtower very quickly decided to settle with the firm. A Bethelite says that in approximately two years he saw Adams only about seven times at the Bethel complex of buildings in Brooklyn.  He was described as a "Quiet Type" who came in then left, appearing to be just a businessman, not someone interested in spiritual matters.

OAK PARK, ILLINOIS -- HOME OF THE ADAMS FAMILY At the online encyclopedia Wikipedia.org is a convenient description of Don A. DAVID SPLANE, GOVERNING BODY + SERVICE DESK! Jaracz had headed the Service Department while being on the Governing Body and likely groomed and got David Splane on the Governing Body.  Splane was born in 1944, became a full time minister of Jehovah's Witnesses in September 1963. After graduating from the 42nd class of Gilead, the missionary school, he was assigned to Senegal, Africa, then was a traveling Circuit Overseer 19 years in Canada.  His wife is named Linda J. Splane.  They have been at Bethel world headquarters in Brooklyn since 1990 where he has worked in the Service Department and since 1998 helped the Writing Committee of the Writing Department.  After Don A. Adams he is likely the or certainly one of the most knowledgeable persons about the many Watchtower Society corporations etc.  It has been "alleged" (no confirmation but an unsubstantiated allegation) that he was involved in an act of molestation involving a boy visiting a Watchtower property in upstate New York, the boy being from the small community of Wamego, Kansas. He is said to speak French and Spanish. The Watchtower Society misprophesied that the world would end in 1914.  In this photo Charles Taze Russell, Joseph Rutherford and others of Watchtower's main heads along with family members are on the Mount Of Olives in Jerusalem.  Why?  Because they believed Christ was about to return and start resurrecting people there.  They wanted to be present for the resurrection and hoped to go on up to heaven.  If they had read the Bible better and been more honest to themselves and other people, they would have known that Christ says nobody knows when the end will come except for the Father.

No." The publications are mostly written by non-anointed persons, and a Watchtower-produced video has said and shown that they are supposed to be read and or approved by a Governing Body member before publication.  Two past members, Ewart Chitty and Leo Greenlees, resigned reportedly over sexual immorality (allegedly pedophilia and homosexuality).  Raymond Franz was pro-reform and so he was disfellowshipped.

WHO IS THE MOST "FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE" OVER ALL TRUE CHRISTIANS?

The Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses orders JWs to say #2 or else be shunned by all other JWs from then on including their own JW family members, friends and work associates.*  This is 100% fact!   Passing this "test" is the way people know if they and others are Christian or not.   A Christian can only choose Christ for #1. * Example: in late 2009 Watchtower disfellowshipped (imposted shunning against) 4 staff at the Mill Hill branch about 13 miles out of London.  Watchtower's stand on this, repeated in publications since, was first published in the Watchtower magazine of April 1, 1979 in its “Questions from Readers.”  1 Timothy 2:5 says Christ is the Mediator between God and men.  Watchtower interprets "men" to be only the 144,000 and in particular its Governing Body men, not men in the sense of all humans who accept Christ, i.e. what they call The Great Crowd.

ANTHONY MORRIS III (GOVERNING BODY) Anthony Morris III was born in 1950, the location not given. He became a pioneer, meaning a door-knocking full-time service minister of Jehovah's Witnesses in the United States in 1971. That December he married fellow Jehovah's Witness, Susan, her maiden name not given.  They pioneered almost four more years.  Then Jesse Anthony, their first son was born.  Their second son, Paul, was born later, no date given.  Anthony Morris became a regular full-time pioneer in 1979, and his wife did also after their boys were all in school.  They moved to where the preaching need was greater in Rhode Island and North Carolina.   The Watchtower Society appointed him to be a subsitute Circuit Overseer in North Carolina, Brother Morris served as a substitute circuit overseer.  Their sons also became regular pioneers, and both went to work in the Brooklyn Bethel complex  when 19.   Anthony  Morris began circuit work and starting August 1, 2002 he and his wife began working as part of the Bethel staff.  He worked in the Service Department at Patterson, New York, and later as a helper to the Service Committee of the Governing Body.  The Governing Body members of the Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses appointed him to be one of their fellow members on August 24, 2005. At the first talk that he ever gave at an international convention as a Governing Body member, one listener noted that he was "not a great orator and sometimes awkwardly raises his voice."  Most of his talk seemed about (1.) how to counter criticism about JWs and (2.) how to keep busy with as Armageddon gets closer.  He has also been satirized in an article on freeminds.org because of having emphasized that the listening audience he spoke before must do what he and other Governing Body members tell them to do.... ninety-six times in a thirty-five minutes talk or nearly three times a minute! WHAT THE ONLY CORRECT “GOVERNING BODY” IS FOR CHRISTIANS Because of vast distances and slowness of transportation, it would have been very difficult to have any central Governing Body over Christians in the first century.  That is the reason why history shows that such a structure only came into existence after the Emperor Constantine began to help the Roman Catholic Church.   Instead of a structure with officials at its top, the original Christians simply met in local groups each of which was independent.  Each Christian accepted the key beliefs of Christianity, was baptized, and then was guided by Holy Spirit and conscience.    The Watchtower Society has falsely claimed there is a lot of evidence to support a Governing Body in the first century: "While all anointed Christians collectively form God's household, there is abundant evidence that Christ chose a small number of men out of the slave class to serve as a visible governing body. The early history of the congregation shows that the 12 apostles, including Matthias, were the foundation of the first-century governing body." (Watchtower magazine of March 15, 1990, on page 11)   There were apostles but they did not meet regularly to make decisions for all the groups of Christians.  Acts chapter 15 has the only example of a group which met to decide about some important religious matters.  At that meeting in Jerusalem were Paul, Barnabas, some but not all of the apostles, also local older persons or elders.    Paul notes that after baptism he did not go to Jerusalem or get any kind of permission from other Christians such as the apostles in order to do missionary work.  Instead he felt moved by Holy Spirit to do so.  Three years passed before he went to Jerusalem.  When he went he did not have a group of apostles or any kind of Governing Body with which to meet.  He met with James. (Ga 1:17-19)   One group of Christians did not tell other Christian groups what to do.  When something did cause irritation, then representatives from one group could go visit another group to iron out the differences, then let still other groups know how it had been fairly resolved. Acts 13:2 says that the Christians at Antioch appointed Paul and Barnabas to go on a trip to help Christians in need.    Holy Spirit led them to do this.  They did not have to send  letters for permission from a central Governing Body.  Nor did any member from a Governing Body come to tell them what they were to do.    Paul had Titus appoint elders not to official positions of power over others but to do the doing of Christian services.  (Titus 1:5)  He and Titus did not have to ask for permission to do so from any Governing Body of men in Jerusalem or anywhere else. WATCHTOWER'S "MR. EFFICIENCY" TO BE THE "BOSS" AFTER TED JARACZ? Gerritt Loesch of Watchtower's Governing Body He had previously been a District Overseer in Austria To speak of Gerritt Lösch  of the Governing Body over Jehovah's Witnesses is to also speak of Watchtower's rapid moves in recent years from about 2005 on in particular to push for greater efficiency.  Gerritt Lösch is believed by many to be groomed for possibly taking over from Ted Jaracz after Jaracz dies -- read on to see why.  Lösch was born in 1941 in a German-speaking part of Austria in Europe.   Besides German and English, he also speaks Romanian, and Italian. (Phil. 2:4) Would a father whose son wanted to speak to him say, 'Send me an e-mail.'" Again, in the same talk, Lösch says he and the rest of the Governing Body are truly compassionate, especially "older ones" and says what a shame when old people in corporations are fired before they can get pensions while younger ones get their jobs.  Given Watchtower's laying off of Bethelites, his words appear part of his use of Theocratic Warfare. The need for large sums of liquid cash may be at least partly due to Watchtower's ongoing payouts and anticipated payouts to get child abuse victims to settle out of court, avoiding the light from news reporters which sours Watchtower's "image" before the public and upset Jehovah's Witnesses. The continuing lay off of Bethel staffers also likely serves to not only save money but to mask some internal "sifting" or witch-hunting going on at the overall direction of the Service Department in Brooklyn, both there and actually around the world. One "Theocratic Warfare" tactic is to say one thing but mean or do otherwise.  Lösch says it is bad to put "efficiency" ahead of compassion.  Also, "an efficient business voice is worldly. It should be warm, friendly, and instill affection in others. Eph. 5:31."   While "talking" about compassion he berates corporations --although making a point to exempt the Watchtower Society-- for their being worldly and democratic: "The corporate spirit is: 1. …democratic - It delays work from being accomplished because the overseer is afraid to make a decision on his own. A group consensus is sought, so he does not take the blame." So, although he says putting efficiency ahead of kindness is wrong, Lösch simultaneously says democracy is worldly and bad.  To his narrow mind, God backs the Watchtower which says it is the one and only true  "Theocracy" or Government of God, not the democracies that most of the rest of the world say bring more happiness. How much happier Jehovah's Witnesses will be as Lösch ascendancy continues is quite questionable.  For example, among the many foregoing gems, we find him praising how Bethelites bring praise to Jehovah by being dressed up in a grand and dignified manner.  Most people would say that having to march from work dressed up for eating in Bethel's cafeteria is less a cause of joy than a show of tiresome rigidity and harshness. Lösch underpins and will continue to underpin Watchtower's harshness and rigidity.  Also expect much more talk of compassion while Jehovah's Witnesses and former JWs are treated even worse.   Those who are former and never-JWs need to get word to loved ones still active JWs that you are here for them and love them no matter what.  That way when they finally see through Watchtower it will be easier for them to come to you for help even as the prodigal son did.  See..... Some have noted Gerritt Losch's big ring (see in the close-up), well-done hair, high quality suit, sun bathing on the roof.  Like all Governing Body members he gets adulation (some say idolization) of millions, perks like vacations around the globe etc.  "Johnny the Bethelite" has also mentioned their having expense accounts. In turn he does things like tell JWs that God (and himself and Watchtower) don't want them or their kids to a better education for better dealing with life, having more happiness.  Gerritt, Ted Jaracz and company insist on JWs obeying them, the Governing Body, no matter what.  Say!  Doesn't Christ say he himself is the one to follow!

GOVERNING BODY MEMBER PIERCE SHOWS LACK OF CONFIDENCE BonaFide says he went to the DC Convention where Guy Pierce spoke.  He felt there was a lack of confidence, that Pierce was having to strain to try to keep up morale.  Another poster or two say they've seen the same elsewhere.  Morale naturally falls before a ship sinks or the tower falls. THEODORE JARACZ   Ted Jaracz of Watchtower's secretive Service Department.  Nicknamed "The Boss," he was raised in southern Illinois. Theodore Jaracz was born in 1925.  He grew up in southern Illinois and was baptized during the 1940s.  He attended the Gilead or missionary school of the Watchtower Society, then was assigned to Australia, where he was a Circuit Overseer and a District overseer. He became branch overseer of Australia in 1951. During 1955 or 1956, after having been in Australia some 5 years, he returned to the United States.  He was made a Circuit Overseer and as either a Circuit or District Overseer in the Los Angeles, California, area. I bet a shrink would have found him fascinating. Maybe in his positions of authority from such a young age, he saw too much bad stuff, so gradually closed down his own personality and navigated his theocratic life happily by blocking out the human element. By concentrating only on the scriptures and the Kingdom message that made up "the work, " he in effect divorced himself from reality. Listen to the discussion Randy Watters put up between Alan Feuerbacher and Ted in 2001. It's fascinating. Jaracz comes across as an extremely kind and loving person. This is the kindly man those outside of Bethel saw, those he didn't know personally. He became emotional when he spoke of the increases in the organization. This is not the man Bethelites as a whole saw except if they were being "groomed" for MTS. I thought the use of that word by Jeff very interesting. Jaracz was grooming young men for reasons not entirely clear. Certainly, the young men weren't harmed by Jaracz, yet his personal involvement with them only with regard to MTS gave him immense satisfaction. Why? That kindness rarely extended to the general run of the mill Bethelite. He treated Bethelites like they were an annoyance except if he needed something from one of them. This was the man who lived in the "50s." It was his influence that prevents the Awake! or Watchtower to show any women in pants. These men in high position in the org. stick together. They only remove a peer when they absolutely have to. I've suspected for a long time what it was that Jaracz did but have no proof. But whatever it was, it was serious. Knorr should have never sent him to California as DO. I have it on good authority and said this in another post that Knorr was so angry with the Directiors for taking away his power, Jaracz was brought in to get even. Knorr knew exactly what he was doing. They didn't want him as Boss, so he gave them Jaracz. "If anybody in the Writing Dept. had the answer as to why Teddy was removed from his position in Australia, they weren't saying. A few years back, I inquired of a former JW who was I think an attorney in the Australian Bethel for some time, but he didn't have the answer. I guess this secret was closely guarded. Maybe after he's dead, information will start to flow. I remembered something else about him that could or could not be true. I was told he was raised by three maiden aunts in the mid-west somewhere. I believe he has a niece or maybe it was a sister. I know he was was quite close to his wife's family in Western Canada. Did ya know that Sydlik wouldn't go to any social that included Teddy? I was told that if Teddy walked in, Sydlik walked out."

VIDEOS ETC RE FORMER GOVERNING BODY MEMBER LEO GREENLEES Former Governing Body member Leo Greenlees is the second person from the top in the photo here.  He was put on the Governing Body about 1965.  There is a lot of material alleging that in 1984 he was transferred off the Governing Body and sent away  to be a Special Pioneer in a congregation in New Orleans after his molesting of children including a ten-year-old boy became too well known to hidden any further.  He is dead now.
