ACTUAL JEHOVAH'S WITNESS JUDICIAL COMMITTEE TRIAL Judicial Committees are Watchtower Society-appointed groups normally consisting of at least three Jehovah's Witness elders who try and almost always convict targeting Jehovah's Witnesses of dissenting or usually for having done some common human vice such as smoking or having had some sexual intimacy such as necking, petting or full-blown sex with other than one's own marriage mate.  They normally do not permit anyone to attend a trial beyond the targeted person but in this case they did perhaps so they could go ahead and get the trial over with.  Here Part 3 is presented first because most informative with an Elder, unaware that a recording device (not a regular recorder though) was running so that he openly admitted he hates dissidents and Watchtower is intolerant toward dissenters.  Place: Tuscon, Arizona; Date: 2006. FOR JEHOVAH'S WITNESS PARENTS AND WATCHTOWER SOCIETY ELDERS IN PARTICULAR Watchtower orders Jehovah's Witnesses parents to severely shun children who don't want to be part of the Watchtower Society and most of the parents do so even though Paul stated at 1 Timothy 5:8 says "Certainly if anyone does not provide for those who are his own, and especially for those who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith." So Watchtower and those following it are not following Paul, the Bible or Christ.  It's that plain and simple, and if you say you are a Christian then you must disregard the Watchtower Society's Governing Body men who orders severe, cruel shunning of family members.

A LETTER A JEHOVAH’S WITNESS FATHER WROTE TO HIS DAUGHTER (Edited slightly to make it easier to read) Good daughter, you are showing  mature and theocratic insight into the matter. The reason why such powerful info was included in the 2010 District Convention program is due to the fact that Satan is really attacking Witness families with success with this particular tactic.      It is really personal since so many now understand how to stay under the radar and keep from getting dis-fellowshipped. If the local congregation has its hands tied judicially then it is up to the family and individuals to display loyalty. We are being trained to be self sufficient in case the congregational arrangement breaks down due to ban and persecution. Which it will. It already has in many countries and the tribulation has not yet started. We will all be tested to the hilt on matters of loyalty. No doubt about it. How wonderful that the slave is training us. Some of them have lost family to the world and know the pain themselves having to do with clinging to a clean conscience. A former elder in our congregation is associating with a daughter who is no longer a witness.  He and his wife are drifting out of the truth. Jehovah acts with loyalty towards the loyal ones. The ones who are loyal are given more spirit; those who are disloyal lose the spirit and they disappear. A brother in a congregation sharing our hall was recently removed for the same thing. The whole elder body nearly was removed because they knew about it but excused it. The brother rarely makes a meeting now. He like the other brother in our congregation was once a faithful man. I think your sister should tell your brother that she will not put up with your sister-in-law shouting across the room saying things like "the kids love birthdays." (completley made up and a lie) I told your brother when he decided to date his wife she was disloyal. She would go to a manicurist that I took care of and complain about you, mom, me, the elders and the organization. Well, she got what she wanted, a good looking boy to seduce and control and separated from the organization. She wore your brother down. He at least hung on and went to meetings now and then while she pretended to be too tired to come. May Jehovah repay her deceptions. She has murdered that family and now wants to murder us spiritually. Your brother needs to feel the loss of family who have always loved him and never tried to manipulate his heart. Being so weak and allowing himself to bend to worshiping his wife has brought him to the point of committing the unforgivable sin. Perhaps if she took ill and died he might come to his senses before he does condemn himself to the second death. I wish something, anything would happen to cause him to have to depend on us and later Jehovah. I hope your husband comes around on this. On a JWD string Morbidzbaby wrote about Judicial Committee disfellowshipping done in Jehovah's Witnesses: “Ya know, so much goes on in that "back room" that the R&F (Rank and File members) have no idea about unless they've been there, done that. The ones that toe the line and don't make waves never really see what happens before a DF'ing (Disfellowshipping/Shunning). They just assume "Well, they weren't repentant, so they got what they deserve". Not always the case. In my brother's case, he had been smoking and got caught, but he also had had sex with his girlfriend, whom he planned on marrying. His friend (the "golden child" of a couple that were both JW, whereas my brother and I were raised with an unbelieving father) had commited the same "sin" but threw my brother under the bus in order to save his own slimy arse and was given a private reproof. When the elders asked my brother "Are you going to have sex with her again?", my brother replied "Well, yeah we're gonna get married, so I assume that after that we'll be having sex"...and he got DF'ed for being unrepentant. Along with that, his best friend (also the child of an unbelieving father...noticing a pattern here??) was DF'ed the year before and his mom had died. My brother asked the elders specifically if he could talk to his friend at the funeral, considering the circumstances. The elders okayed it, but after the fact, they brought it up in his JC and used it as yet another reason to DF him. My own JC's (Judicial Committees, judging froup of elders) were presided over "fairly", I would say. But I have heard so many horror stories of people who were innocent or were sincerely repentant and got DF'ed anyway.” The same string notes that the main thing that Watchtower demands out of its elders is to protect the image of the mother organization even though Jesus Christ said 27"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! DETAILS ABOUT JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES “JUDICIAL COMMITTEES” After a Judicial Committee of normally three to five elders decides to disfellowship a person, s/he may try an appeal to get that decision over-turned.  The Circuit Overseer chooses three other elders from the same circuit for the Appeal Committee. The Appeal Committee discusses the case with the original Judicial Committee before the appeal hearing and without the person present who is appealing. The appeal hearing has all 6 elders in the room, who are thus able to bias and pressure the original Appeal Committee to not over-turn the original verdict of disfellowshipping.  Sometimes an Appeal Committee may note to the mother organization that there appeared to be reasons to believe the person may not have been guilty but it has voted to uphold the conviction because the person did not seem to be sufficiently repentant. Of course anyone who appeals a disfellowshipping is automatically viewed by the original Judicial Committee who pronounced it as being unrepentant. On September 1, 1980, a letter arrived from the Governing Body ordering all the Circuit and District Overseers to disfellowship JWs even if they just express a belief different from the Watchtower Society.  It is not necessary for a person to be promoting the belief in order for a Judicial Committee to disfellowship the person.   An article in the Watchtower magazine dated September 15, 1981, says any JWs who say or write a letter saying they resign from being a Jehovah’s Witness, an act called diassociation, must be treated as if they had been disfellowshipped.  Anyone caught associating with a disassociated person can also be disfellowshipped.  Now Judicial Committees do not even have to hold a meeting with a person.  They can simply meet without the person even being present and decide to declare that the person is “no longer one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.” Also the congregation no longer has the elder who makes the announcement to tell what the “sin” was, and this causes many to most Jehovah’s Witnesses who hear the announcement to assume the person was disfellowshipped for being an adulterer, otherwise immoral, or unrepentantly opposed to God or God’s only appointed organization the Watchtower Society. It is not in writing to do so, but almost always after a person has been declared no longer a Jehovah’s Witness, some other Jehovah’s Witnesses began telling others that the person was immoral or a wicked apostate.  Even if such statements are not true they are still made. All Jehovah's Witnesses are taught that disfellowshipping and Judicial Committees are a "loving provision from Jehovah God."  Anyone who says otherwise is disfellowshipped. A Watchtower letter tells elders to make extensive efforts to correct the doctrinal misunderstandings of those who have different views, that is of apostates.  They usually don't and if a person with other views tries to tell them what those views are they may end a meeting at once and run off from the person.

HOW WATCHTOWER JUDICIAL COMMITTEES OFTEN HARM THE INNOCENT Babygirl30 wrote on JWD “On FB yesterday, an OLD friend of mine 'friended' me....and once again, I was hesitant to actually accept because I didn't know how she would feel about me being DF'd.  But I accepted, and she sent me a msg. Well we ended up talking back and forth for awhile, and found out that she lives RIGHT around the corner from me!!!!!!!!!! I invite her over, and we ended up talking for HOURS (from 8pm-11pm) and had a GOOD time laughing and reminiscing about our high school days.  BUT then we get on the topic of JWs, and I came 'clean'...told her that I have been DF'd for 2yrs and have NO desire to go back. I tell her MY story about how I ended up leaving the 'truth' (my abusive ex, the assault charges, the PFA, and the unloving elders) and then I tell her about how the CO personally got involved in my case, reopened it, and ended up telling ME that it was 'my fault'.  So when I'm done, she starts telling me about what happened to HER...now back in the day, this gf was DF'd, and that was the last time I spoke to her - cause she was pregnant and of course I had NO idea what happened. All I knew was that she was not married and having a kid - so obviously she was sexin it up!!!!! WRONG....she starts telling me that this one 'brother' in MY cong back in the day (who was WELL known for being a man-whore) had attacked and raped her with 3 of his buddies. Now thankfully, this girls neighbors witnessed the guys entering the home and called police, and they were all apprehended - except the one from my cong.  So this girl finds out she is pregnant, and goes to the elders weeks later...she tells them what happened, and the elders tell HER to keep it quiet - they will handle it.  And as usual, they don't!  Turns out that they call her back in a week later, and tell her that she is being DF'd - as the 'brother' claimed it was mutual (he too was DF'd).  Now this girl gets MAD...she goes to the police, and they end up filing charges against these guys, but because of some technicality, they all only get probation.  A year later, the DO comes through on a visit, and reads her case - demanding it be reopened. Once that happened, they overturned her DFing...but by now, awhile has gone by, and this girl suffered ALONE (since no one could talk to her).  She said that the elders NEVER apologized - they only 'encouraged' her to KEEP HER MOUTH SHUT about what happened to her...and to let it go.  This girl has this kid now, is a single parent, and NOBODY knows what really happened to her...all they know is she got pregnant, got DFd, and was reinstated. UGH!!!!!!!! That story made me sick.  But it was so WEIRD how we both 'kinda' went through the same situation with the elders and CO/DO. Talk about a small world in this ridiculous religion.”

Older Christians naturally warn others, such as their children or newcomers, when someone is a dangerous influence they should avoid. (1 Corinthians 15:33)  However, scriptures also state it is wrong to be unmerciful or cruel and in fact James says imperfect humans judging other imperfect humans is not done fairly, (Jas 2:4-13) – after all we are on earth in imperfect bodies with imperfect minds and abilities.  Christ himself noted that some families would be split where those doing right things and others doing wrong things, but he never ever called for destroying families by shunning.  (Matthew 10:34-36) All the same, the Watchtower Society actually has formal Judicial Committees of formally-appointed elders who take actions that indeed are unfair, unmerciful and unduly harsh.  Thus families and lives are destroyed via formal severe shunning, excommunication or what Watchtower calls disfellowshipping. This is done even though 1 Corinthians 6:1 tells Christians to only judge "trivial" things as in business, as said James 2:4-13 calls such imperfect judging harmful; and Paul says the "MAJORITY" (2 Corinthians 2:6) followed his advice to shun a wrongdoer, meaning that a MINORITY chose not to, and yet he nowhere condemns them. So Judicial Committees ignore: "Do not judge, and you will not be judged." (Lu 6:37)  They ignore “There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?” (James 4:12)  And they ignore “Have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?”  (James 2:4)     Christ, for example, at Matthew 7 says 1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." We need to remember and remind others that only God is a perfect judge, and Christ accepted imperfect people, greeted and ate with them.   Christ welcomed "sinners," which all but himself have been.  We are to “hate the sins but not hate the sinners.”  Watchtower has said to actually hate the sinners themselves.  In contrast Christ didn't try to demean, stomp on or throw imperfect people away like pieces of worthless trash, but rather he welcomed, spoke with and comforted them.  Around the globe men on Jehovah's Witness Judicial Committees render unfair verdicts of disfellowshipping ever day, apply such shunning unmercifully; and even though some members of such committees mean well, they and their pronouncements are still often way too unfair, false and destructive of families, sometimes even the direct cause of suicides.  Those who have been on such formal committees for judging others are in fact acting the same as did the ancient Pharisees and the Jewish Sanhedrin who worked to harm and slay Christ and others.  Watchtower says it’s just “tough love” to shame sinners, untrue because it’s unmerciful and not loving.  If anything such un-Christian misconduct should shame those who shun.  True Love Never Fails; shunning does fail.  Watchtower-style shunning has resulted in some JW parents shunning kids for 10, 20, 30, 40 years.  It has caused some JW children to shun JW parents for decades as well.  Judicial Committees have forced countless women, men and kids to give details about things such as self-pleasuring, types of marital intimacies etc etc.  1 Peter 4:15 says,  "Let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a busybody in other people’s matters."  So Watchtower and its Judicial Committees who meddle as busybodies are no better than murderers and thieves. Only God Almighty can truly, rightly forgive and forget a person's sins.  However, the heads of the Watchtower Society and their elders on local Judicial Committees claim they have that power, the power of God!  They often forgive child molesters especially when those are fellow elders despite Christ saying those harming Little Ones are better off cast into the sea with a millstone. Did you know Watchtower has proved a failure in prophesying the End for 1914, all dates up to now and even dates before 1914?  It’s proved wrong on countless other things.  If you are a JW with friends or family whom Watchtower disfellowshipped, it would be good to ease up on the shunning for the reasons given above.  You will know the truth and the truth will set you and them free.

LOVE NEVER FAILS. (1 Cor 13:8) It, unlike formal, severe shunning, is to be cultivated, even as are joy and peace.   Hate policies always fail, so we as Christians instead use love and kindness to help others come to Christ, who is himself the Truth, as shown in the Bible itself. 2 Corinthians 2:6 says A “Majority” (therefore Not All) Shunned a wrongdoer which means some Christians chose not to, and Paul did not condemn or shun those too. He could suggest who to associate with but was not some kind of early super-Pope or overlord, but another caring servant in Christ. James 2:4-13 and James 4:12 say judging is wrong, and religious judges are discriminatory with evil thoughts. 1 Corinthians 6:1 says Christians are to only judge “trivial” things as in business. What’s wrong is not common sense deciding if someone is good for, say, our children to hang out with, but rather it’s “formal” (example: 3 elders on a judicial/judging committee) and “harsh” judging that are unChristian, the same sort of thing the Pharisees did as they also practiced shunning. Christ put a sword between family members only in the sense that some chose to do right and others wrong, he never ever sought to destroy families. The MOST FAITHFUL AND DISCRETE SLAVE OF GOD IS CHRIST, not any imperfect phraisaical body of men. Christ is the Mediator between God and all men, and the Bible and resurrection hope are for all men, not just for a group of literally 144,000. Revelation 19:1 say a “great crowd” not “a little flock” are in heaven. At John 6:53-58, Christ says the resurrection hope require partaking at the Memorial (Last Supper), not denying the emblems that represent Christ and the resurrection hope. Did you realize that some Satanists also practice the denial of Christ’s emblems? All true Christian do partake. If you believe Christ is the MOST Faithful and Discreet slave of God, rather than Watchtower’s Governing Body men, you too will partake if at a Memorial in a Kingdom Hall or at the least when in private. You want to know what The Truth, the real truth is? At John 14:6 “Jesus answered, "I am the way and THE TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” We come in peace and wish you peace.

DEAR JEHOVAH’S WITNESS BROTHERS AND SISTERS: This is to remind you and others getting copies of this, and still others whom we’d like you to pass copies on to, that at least for now (January 2010) the Watchtower Society still officially states that ,“for necessary family matters,” it is possible for you and others to speak with disfellowshipped persons.  Although this loophole provision permits many who are still JWs to phone and speak with those who are disfellowshipped, disassociated or declared no longer a JW about “necessary family matters” such as health concerns, wills, etc, for example at least once a month, many JWs choose on their own to not do so even for decades and unto death likely because (1) willingly going rigidly in line with counsel given them by others inclined to be extra harsh in interpreting “necessary family matters” or (2) from not being rightly informed by some super elders and others who insist (wrongly) that this is not allowable.  Until a clear written statement may be published for example in the Watchtower's "Questions From Readers," it is allowable. Headquarters has been finding that there is the potential for very expensive litigation and much bad press from too harsh, misapplication of the DFing (also regarding anti-higher education policies etc), items about such things going into Letters-To-The Editor, feature articles, etc.  On the other hands some in the hierarchy including on the Governing Body are said to want to clamp down farther on those no longer JWs, and it is said may later come out with an article telling JWs that those of them who continue to speak with former JW associates are the same as "Canaanites."  Those active JWs who do continue to so associate by phoning etc will probably not be officially disfellowshipped or declared no longer JWs but nevertheless may thus ultimately be unofficially shunned. This may sound crazy to you, as it does to us, but please realize that we are fast approaching the year 2014, the 100th anniversary of the "marked year" of 1914.  Watchtower for nearly a century declared that the generation alive in 1914 would see the End, that is Armageddon followed by paradise.  It is now paranoid, caught in a trap of its own making.  It is for example on full alert about those quietly dissenting who may protest about it by letters to others in their congregations.  Even words in the new song book being sung in 2010 have been changed, insisting JWs look to Watchtower's Governing Body and its appointed elders instead of Christ. It is extremely late in the ballgame but we are told by friends who attended a meeting with Governing Body members that in 2010 the word is being put out that the generation of 1914 did not see the End but did see "the beginning of the End."  Still, they know from the '75 fiasco that this may not slow those who will leave after 2014 and as said, fear those leaving will inform those still within, possibly even form some new reform group or groups. Regardless, so far the choice is still ultimately your own as to what extent and in which direction you choose to apply the “necessary family matters” option, harsh and ultra-conservatively, liberal and generously, or possibly somewhere between the two.  Please also keep an eye out for yourself and all your loved ones. With Sincere Best Wishes about this reminder, and writing on behalf of several other anointed Brothers And Sisters in good standing, Your Brother Gabriel Johnson  Headquarters has been finding that there is the potential for very expensive litigation and much bad press from too harsh, misapplication of the DFing (also regarding anti-higher education policies etc), items about such things going into Letters-To-The Editor, feature articles, etc.  On the other hands some in the hierarchy including on the Governing Body are said to want to clamp down farther on those no longer JWs, and it is said may later come out with an article telling JWs that those of them who continue to speak with former JW associates are the same as "Canaanites."  Those active JWs who do continue to so associate by phoning etc will probably not be officially disfellowshipped or declared no longer JWs but nevertheless may thus ultimately be unofficially shunned. This may sound crazy to you, as it does to us, but please realize that we are fast approaching the year 2014, the 100th anniversary of the "marked year" of 1914.  Watchtower for nearly a century declared that the generation alive in 1914 would see the End, that is Armageddon followed by paradise.  It is now paranoid, caught in a trap of its own making.  It is for example on full alert about those quietly dissenting who may protest about it by letters to others in their congregations.  Even words in the new song book being sung in 2010 have been changed, insisting JWs look to Watchtower's Governing Body and its appointed elders instead of Christ. It is extremely late in the ballgame but we are told by friends who attended a meeting with Governing Body members that in 2010 the word is being put out that the generation of 1914 did not see the End but did see "the beginning of the End."  Still, they know from the '75 fiasco that this may not slow those who will leave after 2014 and as said, fear those leaving will inform those still within, possibly even form some new reform group or groups. Regardless, so far the choice is still ultimately your own as to what extent and in which direction you choose to apply the “necessary family matters” option, harsh and ultra-conservatively, liberal and generously, or possibly somewhere between the two.  Please also keep an eye out for yourself and all your loved ones. With Sincere Best Wishes about this reminder, and writing on behalf of several other anointed Brothers And Sisters in good standing, Your Brother Gabriel Johnson  Ref: The manual for elders only titled “Pay Attention to Yourselves and all the Flock" p.103, "Normally, a close relative would not be disfellowshipped for associating with a disfellowshipped person unless there is spiritual association or an effort made to justify or excuse the wrongful course."   The September 15, 1981 Watchtower magazine provides the basis for Judicial practices regarding communication with family members.  If a disfellowshipped family member lives out of the home, the article limits communications to "care of necessary family matters" and states family members "should strive to avoid needless association."  The way and extent to which parents (or others) may apply  striving or define “needless association" is also a matter of choice.   “Pay Attention” references this 1981 Watchtower as its only source, outside the Bible, for guidance on this matter (Watchtower magazine of September 1, 1981 pages 20-31"; Pay Attention p. 103) P.S. THIS IS DESIGNED FOR POSSIBLE MAILING OR HANDING OUT TO THOSE LIVING NEAR KINGDOM HALLS AND BEYOND, SO YOU GETTING IT WILL KNOW: The Watchtower Society over Jehovah’s Witnesses directs JW Elders to disfellowship (=severely shun)  peaceful dissenting family members and those with weaknesses for smoking not just "evil" people as they mis-claim 2 Corinthians 2:6 says  A “Majority” (therefore Not All) Shunned a wrongdoer; so Watchtower’s blanket disfellowshiping of all is not Biblical James 2:4-13 and James 4:12  say judging is wrong, and religious judges are discriminatory with evil thoughts 1 Corinthians 6:1 says Christians are to only judge “trivial” things as in business. In short, Watchtower unBiblically destroys many families, for example mis-teaching JW parents to even shun their kids etc, falsely saying extreme shunning is Biblical and a form of tough but true love; don't let your own lives or families be destroyed like this The shunning has been done openly but now, likely out of fear of possible legal consequences, it is more common for JW Elders to announce "So-and-So is no longer a Jehovah's Witness" with the understanding the rank-and-file must rigidly shun or else suffer the same punishment.

ACHILLES HEEL OF WATCHTOWER DISFELLOWSHIPPING (RIGID SHUNNING) Instead of announcing that someone is disfellowshipped, Watchtower Elders announce “- - is no longer one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.”  This is code for you must shun this person, but because it is not stated that the person is to be shunned, the Watchtower Society hopes in this way to dodge legal disciplining or penalties from governments and governmental entities.  For example in many lands a religious organization that openly disfellowships people for doing or promoting activities such as the constitutional right to vote, makes itself liable for loss of official recognition with approval for tax exemption. If rank-and-file Jehovah’s Witnesses can be found who swear to the court that this is done regarding JWs, then courts in such cases may see through the subterfuge and revoke the organization’s privileges. Besides national governments being concerned about citizens punished for voting or advocating voting, some have also expressed concern over if to grant or take away tax exemptions due to Watchtower’s Governing Body imperiling the life-and-limb of Jehovah's Witnesses. Watchtower continues to refuse to state that rank-and-file Jehovah’s Witness can choose emergency whole blood transfusions in life-or-death situations without penalty of being punished by the afore-stated subterfuge. As a suggestion, if enough people sued or petitioned for it, such governments might act to deny, suspend or revoke tax exemptions and other privileges of the Watchtower Society.

ARE MOST JW'S REALLY DISFELLOWSHIPPED FOR SEXUAL REASONS? Extracts from http://jehovahs-witness.com/6/168067/1.ashx undercover: I think that over time fornication is the number one reason but I'd be willing to wager that the percentage of those DFd for sexual reasons is shrinking.  It may still be the number one reason, but I bet the number of those DFd/DAd for apostasy is on the increase. And I think that's one of the reasons why they've changed the announcement to the congregation.  It's so generic now, the congregation doesn't know if the person was DFd or DAd themselves.  All they hear is that someone was removed so they automatically think that the person committed some sin and was removed.  The Society doesn't want them to know that people are willingly DAing themselves. stillajwexelder: On the JCs I have sat, I would say 80% for sex, 15% for smoking, 5% for apostasy jwfacts: I too have heard 80% are disfellowshipped for sexual reasons. I imagine that is correct. Most that disagree with the teachings just leave, without getting d/f or d/a. I imagine a large number of these are people that no longer believe the teachings and drift away. WHAT VINNY OF HAWAII WROTE Vinny on the island of Maui, Hawaii, wrote on the internet that he got a very emotional phone call from his son who had been disfellowshipped (ordered severely shunned by the Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses) thousands of miles away in September 2004.   An Elder told him it was wrong that he accepted the call and instead should have told his son to "locate the elders in his territory" and "we need to tighten up things around here in our congregation."    Vinny's son's mother had committed suicide just a couple of years before, also the young man had just turned 18, was on his own for the first time, disfellowshipped, 5000 miles from home, extremely lonely, sad and despondent.   Vinny discussed the matter with the rest of his family and they agreed to let him return and live in our house. given his very deep depression, suicidal tendencies, a drug dependency problem, and having the ACL torn out in his knee so that they could help him get back on his feet under very strict circumstances as Watchtower permits including his attending meetings and trying to turn his life around. The same Elder said his decision to let his son come home was "cutting the hand of Jehovah short, and another big mistake" and therefore Vinny as the father "might be the one destroyed at Armageddon," and so the same Elder removed Vinny from the Watchtower reader's list for the first time in eight years living on Maui.   Vinny says he could accept that, although he felt he should at least have been told about it.   The Elder also said there would be "more where that came from."  Vinny and the Elder had very "little personal resentment" as both knew the Elder "sincerely believed he was just doing what the (Watchtower) society wanted."    Vinny could not understand how he and other JWs spend so much time preaching to other people who are depressed, fighting addictions, language issues, but when one "of our very OWN people or family members has been disfellowshipped, and happens to fall into a similar dangerous pattern (one that often begs for loving assistance now more than ever) we have minimal provisions at all to help these ones of our own to get back onto their feet." They in fact must be "cut off" and completely shunned by all at a time when many will actually need help the most.  When Vinny's son was only fifteen, the mother committed suicide with a gun in her mouth after which the young man spiraled into a course of rebellion, something not uncommon in such circumstances.    Completely cutting the young man off, without any assistance at all from the congregation when help was most needed runs contrary to what the scriptures.   God continually asked the Israelites to come back and helped them to regain His favor.   So, Vinny asks "Where is the balance, the love and the help in such a policy as this today?" He concludes also noting "Even if these disfellowshipped ones did turn their course of life around, and did become married, faithful, honest etc.  By not agreeing to go back to the meetings for six months (minimum) or sometimes much longer in this shunned state, and then to go back in front of a judicial committee for judging whether they have truly repented, these people would remain disfellowshipped for the rest of their lives."

2 Timothy 3:1-7 can applied to Watchtower regarding its severe shunning: "1  But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3  having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4  betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5  having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6  For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7  always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth."

LUKE 6:35 says the following which also applies to Watchtower's having its JW Elders and parents shun their children, as hateful those whom they consider enemies and name-call apostates, etc: "But love your emenies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the most high, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.  Be merciful, just as your heavenly father is merciful.:
