UPDATES ON WATCHTOWER'S REFUSAL TO OBEY  "WORKING WITH CHILDREN" BACKGROUND CHECKS IN AUSTRALIA.  CRIMINAL CHARGES FILED INCLUDING FOR WORLDWIDE GOVERNING BODY. WATCHTOWER ATTORNEY (AND ELDER) PHILIP BRUMLEY A DECEMBER 18, 2011 posting on jwnews.net notes Police in Victoria state, Australia, are investigating rape and molestation of a number of children in the Traralgon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses over the past two years.  JW elders refuse to help or comfort the children and their families.  Initial reports allege Watchtower’s Australian branch ordered the Body Of Elders to cover-up the rapes allegedly committed by a fellow JW who is the son of a senior JW elder part of Watchtower’s legal team in Australia; also that elders were instructed to NOT report the rapes to police or other authorities.  The investigation is expected to expand to numerous congregations in the Melbourne metro area where the alleged rapist has had regular unsupervised direct contact with potentially up to one hundred young JW children since initial rapes were reported in the organization. The alleged  rapist remains in “good standing” by Watchtower, continues to have regular public meeting parts, despite allegedly confessing to raping and molesting in the church, when he confronted by several JWs. Parents notified their local Body Of Elders for help and scriptural advice but to absolutely no avail. A parent states “They would not even tell my children that Jehovah or Jesus or even the congregation did not view them as dirty or unclean or even naughty children because of what happened. It’s not the kids fault that they were raped and the elders need to tell them that.” After elder Albert Helbling allegedly asked the parents to put their concerns and requests in writing. the children’s father stated he “asked who reads this information and is there a Privacy Policy we can read. If I wrote down what the intimate details of how my children were raped I wanted to know who has access to it. My concerns were met with silence. The elders refused to answer. They just turned their back on us and walked away.” JW elders in Australia are instructed to phone a church appointed in-house corporate lawyer at New South Wales before any action on learning a JW child was raped or sexually abused.  They must do as told by Watchtower’s internal lawyers.  Actions of  Traralgon Congregation elders show the advice was to deliberately withhold help and assistance from the raped and molested children, not offer counseling and religious support to parents. “They just walked away from us. The shepherds refused to shepherd the flock. Instead they engaged a lawyer, Vincent Toole, to protect themselves and then followed his instructions,” stated one parent. This type of action contrasts with what the Governing Body over JWs claim happens in JW child abuse matters. Philip Brumley, General Counsel for Jehovah’s Witnesses, on behalf of the Governing Body claims Watchtower’s “top priority is to protect the victim. And we want to make sure that whatever steps need to be taken are taken, both by the elders, by the relatives, and by the congregation in general. Our second priority has to do with the perpetrator. We are concerned about their receiving the help they need. Our third priority is to see that the secular authorities are indeed informed of the accusation.” “This Jehovah’s Witness response [from Philip Brumley] to their handling of child abuse is all lies,” according to a grandparent of the molested children within the Traralgon Congregation, who added: “The Jehovah’s Witnesses outright refused to protect the victims. The elders in the Traralgon church did nothing. The parents of the molested children were too scared to speak up and no relatives of the abused children were notified as a result of this. I know this for a fact as none of them told me. The church elders and the Watchtower organisation did not see to it that the secular authorities were informed. I was never told because my family were too embarrassed that their church abandoned the kids and protected the [alleged] child rapist and the position of his father who is a senior church leader. The Jehovah’s Witnesses should pull their act together and actually start practicing what they preach.” The alleged rapes were reported at the Morwell Police Station in August 2011 by Steven Unthank who discovered the rape allegations while criminally prosecuting the entire religious and corporate hierarchy of the church of Jehovah’s Witnesses, including the Governing Body over refusal to comply with mandatory child protection laws legislated by Victoria’s Working with Children Act 2005. The handling of this ‘child sexual abuse’ case within the Traralgon Congregation by the religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses is now considered Solicitor-Client Privilege (Attorney-Client Privilege), in that everyone is now a client or defacto client of the Watch Tower Society’s in-house law firm Vincent Toole Solicitors—including the child abuser—and are thereby protected. Procedures put in place by the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses allows the Watch Tower Society to vigorously defend this. Watchtower claims “Solicitor-Client Privilege” but there is no record the Governing Body of JWs ever vigorously fought for protection and rights of any JW children abused or molested by a fellow JW.  So this “Privelege” status does not apply to young sexually abused JWs children nor to their parents who are abandoned and rejected by the organization although currently active members.  One parent was told “having approached the elders, you will have taken the matter as far as you can. Leave the problem in their hands.” Almost immediately after the alleged rapes were reported in the organization, the alleged child rapist with his family were relocated to a congregation in the Skye Kingdom Hall of JWs in the southern Melbourne suburbs. The alleged rapist was formally introduced into the new congregation by a letter from the Christian Congregation of JWs in Australia and publicly read out from the podium praising the alleged rapist and his family by referring to them as well respected members of the Faith who have volunteered to “serve where the need is greater.” The father was immediately appointed to the Body Of Elders in the new congregation. Congregation members have not been notified they have an alleged child rapist in their congregation with a letter or recommendation from the JW headquarters and Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia. WATCHTOWER (WT) doesn’t want it WIDELY known the Governing Body members and some WT corporations were charged with 35 CRIMINAL indictments in 2011 regarding the Working With Children law in Victoria state, Australia. Depending on congregations some good times are Wednesday/Thursday nights and Sundays before/after noon.  Although Watchtower's own line numbers are 845 306-1000 and 1-718-560-5000, it is better to focus on just calling straight to the halls and speaking as said with whoever answers there.

JW STALKING ON POLICE BLOTTER, OCTOBER 2011, IN STRONGSVILLE, OHIO An Ex-Jehovah's Witness (ExJW) woman on Sprague Road in Strongsville, Ohio, told police on October 26, 2011, that the group has been calling her.  She did not report the incidents until a man from the group said he has been watching her and her house for two weeks.  After determining from where the calls were coming, police said they would call and tell him to stop bothering her.  The police blotter and online comments are at the following which click: http://strongsville.patch.com/articles/police-blotter-jehovah-s-witnesses-want-woman-back The police blotter does not give the address for the Kingdom Hall but it appears to be the one at 24000 Royalton Road; Columbia Station, Ohio 44028; phone  (440) 236-3515

The following link shows that Watchtower's Republic of Ireland branch facilities are to be sold for a suggested 4.5 million pounds, roughly $6.5 million in U.S. currency.  Previous sources have stated that future services for Ireland must come from the U.K. but the article says the needs in Ireland will be cared for locally by "115 separate units" across Ireland, and "units" assumedly mean congregations.  Likely this means Watchtower publications that after the property is sold will be coming from the U.K. but then distributed in the local halls.  More curious is the news article's saying "The decision to sell the headquarters at Newcastle has been prompted by a worldwide restricting of the congregation."  What does "worldwide restricting of the congregation" mean??  Is this a way of saying Watchtower is shrinking?  While that may be, too, they also seem to constantly need, sell and beg for money to pay to settle lawsuits quietly out of court and news media spotlights at an estimated $750,000 per single pedophile case and likely at a similar amount where Jehovah's Witness sisters sue them after being groped, sexually assaulted and raped. WATCHTOWER ZONE OVERSEER GIVES UNCLEAR 10,837 FIGURE FOR THOSE BAPTISED IN 2010 U.S. (OVER HOW MANY MONTHS, 3 OR WHAT?) At the October 22, 2011 annual Delegates’ meeting, the Watchtower heavy Gary Breaux first gave upbeat statistics but then told the number baptized in the U.S., that is, related there were at end of the 2010-2011 service year 1,200,572 publishers (active JWs) with 2,563,518 attending the Memorial 1,759,864 which meant an increase of 69,370 attenders; and 10,837 were baptized in 2010.  The "2010 Service Year" ran end-of-October 2010 to end-of-October 2011.  So Watchtower may either now be self-admittedly in negative growth in the United States (although they would cite the memorial peak attendance figure instead of baptisms if contacted by the National Council of Churches or anyone who comes asking their most recent growth statistic) or what he said may mean just for the last 3 months of 2010 only that many were baptized in the U.S. zone headed by Breaux.

The November 15, 2011 Watchtower edition for Jehovah’s Witnesses only (pages 3-5) has the article titled "Jehu Champions Pure Worship" that says “And all members of the congregation need to be determined to avoid the company of disfellowshipped individuals.-2 John 9-11.”  It adds that Christians must now possess some qualities of Jehu who was instructed to “kill every male of the apostate house of Ahab.-2 Ki. 8:28; 9:1-10.”  Christ in contrast to Watchtower said love your enemies. WATCHTOWER ORDERS AUSTRALIAN ELDERS TO QUIETLY GET "WORKING WITH CHILDREN" LICENCES NEEDED SINCE JULY 1, 2008!

COMMENTS: People wonder why, and, unfortunately at this point we can only speculate about the matter, but the speculation may be of great interest to you.  2.) DT has noted Title 18, U.S.C. Depending on circumstances punishment may range from a fine to execution. Metatron wrote “Watchtower's Legal Dept. is concerned about what may be their most dangerous weakness, namely Circuit Overseers.”  They have a hierarchial top-down chain of command as does the Catholic Church which means they are liable for what City Overseers, District Overseers, Circuit Overseers and local Elders do including molesting of children.  Their fear of money losses is shown by their claiming that those acting on their behalf are "just volunteers," and also their changing the title of Presiding Overseers to "Coordinating Elders." 7.) Furthermore, it has been “hearsay” allegation that some of the Watchtower’s appointed City Overseers have for example not just been “renewing magazine subscriptions” but part of pedophile rings engaged in ordering systematic group/congregational stalking/harassment of those they fear speaking out against them, not just victimized kids but also outspoken concerned adults, seeking to “shut their mouths” by alleging the persons are liars, crazy or outright apostate enemies of God’s organization upon earth.  Further allegations have been made in regard to City Overseers and the perpetrating of systematic sexual abusing of small children.  9.) Add to such allegations the many other highly expensive lawsuits and woes that Watchtower is experiencing regarding pedophilia, the harassment of the Jehovah’s Witness spiritual Sisters, hate crime charges in Brazil, now the U.K. and potentially “Conspiracy Against Right” law in the U.S.  So, Watchtower’s recent magazine series calling those who dissent against it and are inactive in promoting Watchtower no better than “Canaanites” and not true lovers of Jehovah, is a major fiasco on its part, quickly boomeranging on Watchtower.    10.) They are definitely now being driven by all the lawsuits hitting them including globally.  Predictably they will also next move to end the position of District Overseers and finally switch Circuit Overseers to being elders placed in local halls who go around to visit other congregations in a circle "coordinating" regionally on weekends. Possibly some of the DOs and City Overseers would also simply be switched to Regional Coordinators.  11.) Judicial Committee paperwork, any appeals etc would be kept with the Regionals, and that way mother organization would claim she was not responsible or liable.  However, her waiting so late has made it easier for attorneys to show her true nature as dominant over all under her, plus which juries can also still be easily shown that Watchtower appoints, disciplines and otherwise controls the local-level elder.  12.) If they switch the appointing and disciplining over to new Regional Coordinators, that may still not be enough, for low-and-behold!  they will also have appointed the Regional Coordinators.  Had they done so seven years ago then by today the Judges and Juries would likely have bought their "we aren't responsible please," but they didn't and it looks like they no longer have seven years to spare before total financial collapse.  The pro-pedophilia stands of Ted Jaracz (secretive Service Department) who died a couple years ago still haunt them.  Geoffrey Jackson and his merry band lack the clout and courage to oust the likes of Don A. and Joel C. Adams who would resist fiercely.  United together and with a millstone about their necks, they are all sinking to the bottom of the ocean.  "Bubble, bubble, bubb, bu, bu..."  Gone. WATCHTOWER INVESTIGATED REGARDING HATE CRIME The Watchtower magazine version that is for the eyes of Jehovah’s Witness members only (dated July 15, 2011, page 16) calls people who leave Watchtower "mentally diseased" apostates who must be shunned even if they are your family.  Christ said though to even love your enemies.  (Mt 5:44)   This has made them subject to official police investigation with possible litigation under hate laws in some countries including, as said in the video, the United Kingdom.

AUSTRALIA IS NOW PROSECUTING WATCHTOWER ON 35 CRIMINAL CHARGES FOR NOT OBEYING BACKGROUND CHECKS OF "WORKING WITH CHILDREN" LAW In Australian court Steven Unthank, ExJW, won the right on September 13 to have all 35 criminal indictments continued against the Watchtower Society's heads for not complying with the Working With Children act of law.  They have failed to have the backgrounds of Jehovah’s Witness ministers checked as dangers like pedophilia. This would not have cost them money to do but they, unlike other groups, have not been willing to comply with the law. She noted that the Jehovah's Witnesses are inconsistent as they make an effort to relate to people of other religions in order to indoctrinate them in going from door to door, but they do not do so for anyone who leaves or is expelled from them. A former member "will suffer actions of hostility and rejection by the same group that had welcomed him before when he was practicing a different religion." The prosecutor’s assessment is that the intention of Jehovah's Witnesses is to "inflict hardship" on ex-members "as punishment because they have strayed from the teachings that the organization considers as truth handed down directly by God to the Governing Body."  She said that this is a case of violation of Article 5 of Brazil’s Constitution which accords all citizens equality before the law, without distinction of any kind.  She has asked the court to prevent Jehovah's Witnesses from prohibiting former members from living with their families. JEHOVAH'S WITNESS ELDERS SENT CONVICTED CHILD MOLESTOR TO CONDUCT FREE HOME BIBLE STUDY In Poteau, Oklahoma, a woman and her husband had arranged for a Jehovah's Witness man and woman to study the Bible with their daughter (13) and son (15) but the couple had to be gone a while, so the elders were contacted and they sent Rick Brown to study with them without informing them that Brown was a convicted child molester.  The woman wrote to Bill Bowen of www.silentlambs.org that "he keep wanting us to bring the kids over to his trailer, for the day or even overnight, so that my husband and I could have a break away from the kids. We declined his offers, but in his following visits he started to make comments toward my daughter that seemed off to me. Then the comments started to get creepy! After he left I got online to the sex offender list and, well there he was! I contacted the kingdom hall and told them the whole story, they told me it would be dealt with. Watchtower seems determined to ignore that it has a problem to do with its pedophiles.  It tries to do things as always, micro-managing from the Service Department desks.  Time and again it has ignored the idea that it restructure away from its centralization of control and power.  Being so stubborn, this and other crises are bound to continue.    Somebody or some group are not doing their job as a "Faithful and Discreet Slave."  Anointed friends not on Watchtower's payroll are rightly alarmed but know, of course, that they and all who are in Jehovah's Witnesses can always depend on the MOST Faithful slave of God, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  The Body Of Christ is well, but the Watchtower's Governing Body though looks paralyzed.  Who's cut them out of the information loop?   We can only pray for the sake of those that they get more fully and rightly informed and that the outcome lead to Jehovah's Witness children being protected more than pedophiles among walking in the kingdom hall buildings etc being hidden and sheltered. That would require a background check under Victoria's WWC Act. Also, attendants at conventions and at KHs are there to direct people and that includes the kids. Under the WWC Act, this job would require a background check. In Victoria, kids under a certain age working with adults not their parents at a KH building site would require that the adults have a background check. All of this done because the Victoria government is serious about protecting kids from harm. This is not JW persecution. MARTIN SARFES REPORTS TO POLICE TWO JEHOVAH'S WITNESS ELDERS Martin is in the U.K.  Despite Christ teaching "you must love your enemies" he has had to file a police report about being stalked.  He told me in a phone interview that the two elders in this video had done the stalking for nearly half an hour and when he later spoke with one about it the elder said he was "just doing my duty."  Here in the United States, Watchtower elders now stalk heavily too those who have quit them.   Elsewhere on this site is a collection of materials about the stalking. A “Child sex club in Queensland being operated within the Religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses discovered and of which implicates senior Watch Tower Society religious leaders—all the way to the top, the Governing Body” -- the website jwnews.net of Steven Unthank in Victoria, Australia, has alleged all this and more!  For example Unthank has alleged that the Watchtower Society (Jehovah's Witnesses) heads have had a “campaign of violence, threats, intimidation, assault, fabricated sex charges" against him "and his family to silence them.” Further Unthank in particular also notes that Watchtower has a Child Mentoring Program, Child Assistance program and Assistance For Parents Program (which includes taking children to restrooms) and yet Watchtower volunteers have not passed a Working With Children background check as required by law.   In 2010 another member of Watchtower’s Governing Body, Ted Jaracz, died, and Jaracz had been openly alleged to be a pedophile by Pat Garza (deceased) of herself and other children.  He had previously been in Australia until transferred to the U.S. and ultimately the Governing Body.  Mark Palo is still alive and he has often publicly alleged that former, now deceased Governing Body member Leo Greenlees (non-Australian) had molested Palo.   When knowledge of this  became too widely known the other Governing Body members quietly transferred Greenlees.   In the United States, under the Federal Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) passed in 1974, all 50 states have passed laws mandating the reporting of child abuse and neglect.  The various state laws also often had requirements for clergy or religious practictioners, which clearly also entails the Watchtower’s elders.  In the U.S., the U.K. etc it appears that neither Watchtower nor any of its umbrella corporations such as "the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses" pays anything to have background checks done for any of its clergy, although clergy in other churches have complied.   Why the double-standard?  Those interested including attorneys can use the search engine at google.com to help investige further regarding these matters around the planet.  Watchtower has already had to pay out many millions in dollars of Jehovah's Witnesses' money donations into their general worldwide work fund in order to make settlements out of court and the media's spotlight over child abuses cases, especially in California.  Bill Bowen, spearhead of Silentlambs.org has often been on television and in newspapers, for example, Dateline NBC, CNN, BBC about the constantly growing problem of Watchtower hiding and sheltering of pedophiles in its organization.  In response Watchtower has taught its members that such reputable news sources are "tools of Satan."  Regardless, common sense says those who are fanatically, blindly obedient to not only Watchtower but any rigid hierarchial organization need to wake themselves up, be sure to protect their kids and grandkids!  In all lands people, their children and grandkids need to be able to sleep peacefully secure in knowing that any local and top level elements darkness will not be tolerated.  May Caesar's sword always stand at the ready. Former Witness taking on Watch Tower.  Graeme Hammond.  From: Sunday Herald Sun.  April 10, 2011 12:00AM  A FORMER Jehovah's Witness is to launch a private criminal prosecution against the religion's world headquarters.  His action is in protest at its refusal to require church elders to submit to Working With Children police checks in Victoria.  Steven Unthank, who says he was a victim of sexual assault by a church elder in Queensland, says he is taking the drastic step to protect children within the religion and at homes where Jehovah's Witnesses doorknock.  Mr Unthank, from Toongabbie in Gippsland, says he is frustrated over inaction by police and the Justice Department after the religion decided its ministers were not required to undergo police checks.  He hopes the state will take over the prosecution after court documents are filed on April 19. Mr Unthank, 43, quit the religion in late 2009 after waging a long campaign to persuade the Watch Tower Society, the religion's administrative arm, that elders and door-to-door preachers needed to get police checks before working with children.  Victoria's Working With Children Act requires ministers of religion who have regular unsupervised contact with children to apply for background checks and the Catholic and Anglican churches say all ministers and volunteer workers routinely apply for such checks. Although Jehovah's Witnesses say all members become ordained ministers at baptism, a spokesman for the Watch Tower Society said elders or other evangelists were not required to gain a police clearance. "We don't typically work with children, we don't have Sunday schools, so that law doesn't apply to us," the spokesman said. But Mr Unthank said adult Jehovah's Witnesses often paired up with minors when preaching, with much of their time spent in cars calling on homes. It was for that reason that she agreed to go into hiding and take an arsenic treatment. - Bethany’s mother stated under oath that the arsenic treatment was Paliative Care. - the doctor who prescribed the arsenic also stated that the arsenic treatment was Palliative Care. - Bethany, in a television interview over the phone makes it very clear many times during the interview that she believes that the arsenic treatments are curative and she believes that she will most likely be cured. - Dr. Arceci, the world expert on Pediatric Oncology, has testified under oath, that arsenic is not a cure for skin cancer or for AML subtype M1 which is the desease Bethany had before it went into remission.  - The arsenic gradually killed off her blood cells, Bethany went blind and the next day she died of congestive heart failure.  - if Bethany had received a blood transfusion she would have been brought back from the abyss , not went blind and been given time to take proper medical treatment that would have given her a chance to live. -Dr. Arceci testified under oath that if Bethany had received any one of many standard treatment protocols, that Bethany would have had a fighting chance to live....... if she had had a relapse with leukemia.  If however, as according to all the tests that confirmed there was no leukemia, then as long as the skin cancer was treated in a timely fashion, Bethany would be alive today. 3.) A “Child sex club in Queensland being operated within the Religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses discovered and of which implicates senior Watch Tower Society religious leaders—all the way to the top, the Governing Body” -- the website jwnews.net of Steven Unthank in Victoria, Australia, has alleged all this and more!  For example Unthank has alleged that the Watchtower Society (Jehovah's Witnesses) heads have had a “campaign of violence, threats, intimidation, assault, fabricated sex charges" against him "and his family to silence them.” Further Unthank in particular also notes that Watchtower has a Child Mentoring Program, Child Assistance program and Assistance For Parents Program (which includes taking children to restrooms) and yet Watchtower volunteers have not passed a Working With Children background check as required by law.   In 2010 another member of Watchtower’s Governing Body, Ted Jaracz, died, and Jaracz had been openly alleged to be a pedophile by Pat Garza (deceased) of herself and other children.  He had previously been in Australia until transferred to the U.S. and ultimately the Governing Body.  Mark Palo is still alive and he has often publicly alleged that former, now deceased Governing Body member Leo Greenlees (non-Australian) had molested Palo.   When knowledge of this  became too widely known the other Governing Body members quietly transferred Greenlees.   In the United States, under the Federal Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) passed in 1974, all 50 states have passed laws mandating the reporting of child abuse and neglect.  The various state laws also often had requirements for clergy or religious practictioners, which clearly also entails the Watchtower’s elders.  In the U.S., the U.K. etc it appears that neither Watchtower nor any of its umbrella corporations such as "the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses" pays anything to have background checks done for any of its clergy, although clergy in other churches have complied.   Why the double-standard?  Those interested including attorneys can use the search engine at google.com to help investige further regarding these matters around the planet.  Watchtower has already had to pay out many millions in dollars of Jehovah's Witnesses' money donations into their general worldwide work fund in order to make settlements out of court and the media's spotlight over child abuses cases, especially in California.  Bill Bowen, spearhead of Silentlambs.org has often been on television and in newspapers, for example, Dateline NBC, CNN, BBC about the constantly growing problem of Watchtower hiding and sheltering of pedophiles in its organization.  In response Watchtower has taught its members that such reputable news sources are "tools of Satan."  Regardless, common sense says those who are fanatically, blindly obedient to not only Watchtower but any rigid hierarchial organization need to wake themselves up, be sure to protect their kids and grandkids!  In all lands people, their children and grandkids need to be able to sleep peacefully secure in knowing that any local and top level elements darkness will not be tolerated.  May Caesar's sword always stand at the ready. Unthank has spent years trying to have his own families personal experience (as described in the Appendix of the Submission) heard by the Watchtower leadership and an apology issued. They have flatly refused. On April 7, 2011 Wellington Menezes de Oliveira (age 24) shot 13 (originally 12) kids dead at Tasso da Silveira elementary and middle school in Rio de Janeiro.  Dead were 11 girls and 2 boys, ages 12 to 14.  After being shot in the leg by a policeman, Oliveira put a gun to his own head and committed suicide: "A longtime neighbor and former member of Mr. Oliveira’s church said Mr. Oliveira had been a lifelong Jehovah’s Witness before turning to Islam two years ago."   His interest in Islam was apparently only informal although he sometimes wore the symbolic black of Intifadha and also at times a long beard.  Representing the Muslim community in Brazil, Jamel El Bacha has called the massacre "insane and inexplicable." Neighbor Elda Lira Ferreira who knew him from infancy said Oliveira was always isolated in his own world.  Sergio Cabral, governor of the state of Rio, called him an "animal and psychopath."  As a child, Oliveira had attended the same school where he killed the children. Brazil's President, Dilma Rousseff, showing herself visibly moved, said “This type of crime is not characteristic of our country.  All of us here, men and women, are united to repudiate this type of violence.” Police will be speaking with the person, GS, who is said to have been Oliveira's best friend.  When in school the young men were bullied for their religious devotions.  The school had girls who would tempt them into "fornication."  GS said that in 2008 an elder expelled them and other young people from their congregation.  GS said the elder had spoken lies and told them to do everything the elders said.  The elder still considers GS to be an enemy.  GS did not reveal the names of the other young people who were expelled. The Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses has elders to not only expel but enforce intense shunning of former members even for decades or life.  During 2011 a former Jehovah's Witness in northeastern Brazil was taking the Watchtower Society to court for discrimination against former members, a policy against both the Constitution of Brazil and a violation of U.N. human rights.  The man, Sebastian Ramos, was also using marches and huge billboards in cities such as Fortaleza to bring the discrimination more to the public's attention.   Ramos had been expelled (ironically) for writing pro-Watchtower news articles without having prior authorization from the organization which requires total control in such matters.  GS believes this kind of religious pressure is what caused Oliveira to turn into a terrorist.  He also implied that Oliveira may have been seeking a kind of "justice" for Jehovah's Witnesses, responding to "those who had put themselves above God."  Since leaving the Witnesses he himself has been to over 15 different churches.  One of GS's neighbors said he is as "strange" as Oliveira, his family not talking with them due to their being of a different religion.  Oliveira's Witness mother had died two years earlier. Oliveira's step-sister Roselane (49) has been interviewed on radio.  She had some contact with the rest of the family and used to come to try to help Oliveira.  Otherwise he was in rigid isolation from the rest of the family per the policy of the Watchtower Society.  Their Jehovah's Witness mother had died two years ago.  She was actually Oliveira's adoptive mother.  His biological mother had schizophrenia and had tried to kill herself.  His father, Guido Bulgan Cubas de Oliveira, died five years ago. Watchtower's way to counter so much time of their time being spent having to worry about their heads and lawyers having to be in court, and 3.) this whole matter being such an expense that they don't want it more of it, having some other uses for the money people give them, for example out-of-court settlement payouts to cope with a continuing barrage of lawsuits over pedophiles, battered and raped spiritual Sisters, etc).   Also noteworthy, is that Watchtower special surprise announcement said "the parents" are to get their own attorneys to oppose any transfusions.  This too may be Watchtower's way of saying: "Wow, this has gotten just too expensive for ourselves, and is a scary pain for our own Legal Department attorneys, so we are just going to be dumping the expenses on you the parents from now on."  Realistically, though, how many attorneys are there outside of Watchtower's own robotic attorneys who are going to strongly protest the saving of a child's life, anyway?!  Anyway, this could be how Watchtower can pretend it's not backing down no matter what to their most conservative zaniest hard-core no-blood-no-matter-what members, while in fact they are providing a loop-hole. Normally it is announced in advance that Watchtower will be having a special announcement read during the Local Needs talk, and that usually gets more Jehovah's Witnesses to attend on the night for it, but this time that didn't happen.  This may have been Watchtower's way of trying to slide the announcement through less noticed by more critical persons, the ones who usually tend not to bother with attending. A few months ago at a special elders training school, there had been an outline with a talk that was basically covering the very same thing, and no real change was apprent.  However, critics have by now had more time to analyze what's going on, and most of what is noted here has appeared in comments on the JWD discussion forum (see link below). My own take is that Lawrence Hughes' still continuing lawsuit that still has two of Watchtower's attorneys in it scares the living you-know-what out of them.  Thanks to some of you reading this, you donated enough money (some $2,000) so that he has been able to get it into the courtroom; date yet to be set but indeed to be set. As is clear, even more the trial goes live, Lawrence is winning victories.  Since his lawsuit series started in 2002 Watchtower has quietly but definitely started allowing Jehovah's Witnesses to get hemoglobin.  And now we see these additional concessions. So, please, please consider donating some more as he needs to pay for photocopies and filing of papers including for example for papers that Watchtower's attorneys are having to reply to.  Photocopying in the two courts he is going back and forth to is not like 25 cents a copy but like $5 per copy, and he sometimes has to make copies of a hundred or so, compelled to do so within the courthouse confines. He is known to have married Janet Watson, had a relationship with Jane Finlay, married devout Jehovah's Witness Jennifer Edwards, still be married to Jennifer but prior to arrest was also enjoying a relationship with bank worker Barbara Stocks while staying at her two-bedroom home at least four nights per week. As “the Night Stalker” he carefully cased homes in a wide radius, removed light bulbs, cut phone lines, then woke up terrified frail, elderly women with a gloved hand while shining a torch into their eyes.  He then engaged them in conversation and victimized them sometimes for hours.  Police Chief Simon Foy branded Grant a “perverted, callous and violent individual” who attacked some of the most vulnerable people in society. "THANK YOU" FROM LAWRENCE HUGHES: Earlier in March, Lawrence asked that I be certain to post a THANK YOU on Facebook for those who contributed the $2,000 Lawrence (watchtowerlawsuit.com with video and paypal info) needed to get his lawsuit against Watchtower attorneys (blood issue with death of daughter) into court, but since some of you don’t use Facebook I am repeating it here.  He continues to be busy running back and forth to not one but two court buildings (one for appeals), having make photocopies of filings etc at just those location at not just 5 or 25 cents each but up to five dollars each!  Some months he may have to make hundreds of copies, so if you can donate toward that then it will be one less worry and be a significant way you can make sure that the case is not only going to be with a trial but that it can continue as may be necessary for months or years, every one of those helping keep in the public mind and eye what Watchtower’s policies do to help kill even the very young. Please forgive me as you will no doubt have to hear me repeating the need at times, but lives definitely are at stake and the end isn’t here yet.  I hope Barbara Anderson is right that Watchtower will eventually have to change its blood policy after the deaths of Gene Smalley and Fred Rusk, but in case that may not occur for decades or in case Watchtower even then prefers to keep its ghoulish policy, it is of great comfort to know that Lawrence is already in the thick of the battle or, as he says, a war for justice in the courtroom.
