| A SPECIAL INVITATION FROM JOE THE WEBMASTER |
CHRISTIAN BIBLE READING AND FELLOWSHIP BI-WEEKLY VIA TELEPHONE
In addition this often includes some music, prayer, coments
or a short talk, news, announcements etc. It is not a debate format but an easy practical arrangement for
upbuilding, thoughtful fun fellowship regardless of whatever our different views are -- unity by love not forced sameness.
Every other Sunday at 12 CST just dial 712 432-8710; and when asked for a pin number give 9925#.
There's no cost except for your long distance.
Instead of exiting JWs having to go from Watchtower
to possible confusion, they can now go straight to Christ while also enjoying Christian fellowship. Christ turned
away none. Those already enjoying this or that church preference don't have to give those up, and those
now skeptical about God or Bible are also welcome.
DECLARATION OUR
CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP ARRANGEMENT FOR EXITING OR EXITED JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES If you agree with what is written in this
box and do not mind doing so despite Watchtower, please email back your name and contact information (e.g.
contact email, nation-state-county, phone) for sharing on and off the internet to encourage and help others to find and come
together for Christian fellowship among former Jehovah’s Witnesses and friends. We don't do all the
work for you but we do make it a whole lot easier. (jmasonemerson@yahoo.com)
1. This invites you to fellowship with our new Christian
Witnesses Fellowship which offers joy and Good News for Christians and others regardless of different beliefs. (Ga 5:22, Jn
3:16) Being a true fellowship, it gives Christian association without having a hierarchy of rigid officials
lording it over others. Those with other genuinely Christian affiliations are welcome to keep those of course. The
idea is not to replace somehow but to enrichen.
2. We believe in freedom to question and differ while staying united by love (Ro 14:1-5; Co 3:14);
exercise Bible-trained conscience in personal matters such as medical treatments like transfusions (1Sa 14:31-35, Mt 12:7),
holiday or events observance or non-observance (Col 2:16), whom to associate with, how to groom ourselves, raise our children,
benefit from education, marriage, science etc.
3. Although free to differ, likely most of us believe in resurrection to heaven and upon earth for
others; Christ bringing many blessings for all humankind. (Jn 3:16) Although guessing when such blessings
may occur genuinely interests many, we instead emphasize showing love by doing hands-on acts of kindness.
Salvation is by grace but Faith Without Works is dead. (James 2:24) Love always wins and is the true mark
of Christians. (1Jn 14:16) Also, there was and still remains “one faith,” (Eph 4:5), which is general
Christianity but it has good, average and bad branches with some true and false Christians in each.
4. We meet for fellowship by phone, via the internet or else in person
invite friendly people to gather at a home or elsewhere (Ro 16:1, Mt 28:19) for a thoughtful one chapter reading in the
Bible, prayers, singing, music, a simple meal; talks and or testimonials, programs to educate about Christian basics
(He 6:1) and help the needy. (Ga 2:10, Jas 2:24) The reading is not a debate forum but, as said, a thoughtful reading
with prayer.
5. We may witness in various ways such
as by talking or leaflets with ideas or activities on helping the needy and educating about basic Christian beliefs (He 6:1),
topics such as news, Bible items, social issues such as crimes, climate change, etc. However, a "Bible"
Study is a study that uses the Bible (as with reading and discussing, not arguing about, what it says) not
imperfect human literature about it.
6. We are structured as autonomous (self-governing) groups of two or more who may recognize or appoint reputable
elders (older ones) for doing desired services such as conducting wedding and funerals (1Tim 3; Ac 6:5) but Christ is our
only top Leader, the MOST Faithful and Discreet Slave. (Mt 23:10; 24:45) Such servants are our servants not overlords.
In Christ we are as one. (Ga 3:28)
7.
We observe the memorial of the Last Supper yearly or so often as a group wishes to meet and observe it. We normally
baptize by full immersion in water. Groups may also wish to to wash feet as Christ did to teach and remind others
to stay and behave as humble servants not above or lording it over others. (Read John 13:14-15)
8. Our name is the same as first noted as used in the Bible at Acts 11:26, that is Christians,
but to distinguish ourselves as laws etc may require, and also in agreement with how Paul addressed his letters,
we are also free to use a name such as Christians at such-and-such a place (1 Cor 1:2, Ga 1:1) or for example descriptively use
Free Christians.
9. Readers are
invited to contact christianwitnesses.com for an online songbook, tracts (leaflets), general Christian association,
announcements, handy ideas and items etc. In essence it is a source for literature and helpful information
not a governing authority as such is only from our only Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5), Savior and Most Faithful and Discreet Slave
of God ever, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The site biblegateway.com provides many fully reputable online Bible translations
such as the New International Version.
10. The battle to be Free Christians, Christians
oriented toward showing Love instead of blind obedience to numerous harsh religious rules or laws, goes some
2000 years back to the start of Christianity. In modern times too Christians have continued in search of and in
defence of Christian Freedom.
