"He proceeded to send his word and heal them. And to provide escape out of their pits." (
Psalms 107: 20)
A*
Deuteronomy 32:10,
Proverbs 7:2, Psalms 17:8, and Proverbs 25:11 all speak metaphorically
and positively of apples. Apples may contain substances vital to fighting cancer. They
help lower bad cholesterol and high blood pressure, stablilize blood sugar, fight viruses, cut appetite, prevent constipation
and help treat diarrhea, prevent tooth decay. U.S., French and Italian researchers have found them to also
help the heart.
ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE
“Folic acid (Vitamin B9)
has been shown to protect against the disease but the most important thing is to keep challenging your brain mentally.
Use it or you will lose it. Omega 3 supplements help prevent dementia. Beware symptoms like “mood
swings, and difficulty thinking, speaking, remembering and making judgments.” http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2041436/DR-SARAH-BREWERr-Most-people-UK-killed-diseases--tips-avoid-them.html#ixzz1ZJwndpiy
Gingko Biloba may help since it increases blood flow to the brain. Also
useful may be Coenzyme Q10, vitamins C and E, B cfomplex as well as extra vitamin B6mixed carotenoids, gotu kola and Siberian
ginseng. Two other possibly useful nutrients are acetyl L-carnitine at 500 mg three times a day or phosphatidylserine
at 100 mg three times a day. Short daily walks, memory exercises or learning words of one or more foreign languages,
doing word searches, staying relaxed may also all contribute toward helping to keep the mind sharp. It has been noticed
that people who take aspirin and other nonsterioidal anti-inflammatorys (NSAIDs) to relieve joints of arthritis have a "strikingly
low incidence of Alzheimer's."
Virgin (not regular but extra pure)
coconut oil may be helpful for not only Alzheimer’s but also Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease), drug-resistant epilepsy, brittle type I diabetes, and type II (insulin-resistant)
diabetes. http://www.anh-usa.org/coconut-oil-and-alzheimer%E2%80%99s-disease/ (See “Memory”
etc): In the book Aging with Grace: What the Nun Study Teaches Us About Leading Longer, Healthier, and More Meaningful
Lives, a doctor asked a nun called Sister Nicolette, who had lived the longest without Alzheimer’s of all of the
nuns, ages 76-103. who participated in the landmark study, why she had remained healthier than the others. She said
that at age 70 she had started walking several miles a day. This helped
her preserve cardiovascular health including avoiding stroke and mobility. Exercise sends more blood to the brain with more
oxygen and nutrients. It also reduces stress hormones. So exercise may help to not only, for example, ward off depression
but also some kinds of damage to brain tissue. Small strokes serve as a trip switch in people with significant numbers
of Alzheimer’s lesions, causing dementia symptoms to emerge. Stroke-free brains may compensate for Alzheimer’s
lesions to some and also mute its symptoms.”
“Alzheimer's Drug Reverses Cognitive Decline Over
12 Month Period In Early Human Testing.” ScienceDaily (July 18, 2008) — A drug once approved as an antihistamine
in Russia improved thinking processes and ability to function in patients with Alzheimer's disease in a study conducted
there, said an expert at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. The findings are published in the journal The Lancet.
"More research is needed, but we are encouraged by the effect the
drug Dimebon had on Alzheimer's patients" said Dr. Rachelle Doody, professor of neurology. Dimebon is the first
drug for Alzheimer's that has shown continued improvement in patients over a 12 month period. Other approved drugs have
not done this. Half of 183 patients in the Russian study got Dimebon; the others got a placebo or an inactive pill.
Clinicians monitored progress over the next year on five different outcomes. All in the study had mild to moderate Alzheimer's
disease. "What we saw in the clinical trial is that people on the medication continued to improve over time,"
Doody said. "Those on placebo continued to decline." Those improving did so in all five outcome areas: thinking and memory ability, overall function, psychiatric and behavioral symptoms, and ability
to perform daily activities. Some participants complained of occasional dry mouth, but none quit because of the side effects.

ANTI-AGING:
Oats, fish, berries, red wine, curry, eggs, vegetable oil and fish oils in the diet are believed to help prevent memory loss
and keep you lively longer. Evidence suggests Alzheimer's and dementia may be preventable. Berries,
green tea, turmeric and red wine all contain flavonoids that are anti-inflammatories helping stop stress on brain cells that
cause "bad" plaques lead to the brain slowing down. Eggs, vegetable oils, and oily fish and offal also provide
phospholipids for keeping nerve cells healthy and reducing formation of plaques. Foods to avoid are cakes, pastries,
chips and sugars because they can cause surges in blood sugar that create the compound called AGE which kills brain
cells. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1974500.html?menu=
For age spots, some use BEC5 or Curaderm (which also see elsewhere here); some have used regular application
of a paste of chick/garbanzo beans. Source: a TV info-commercial.
ANTI-OXIDANT: Glutathione is made
in the body but adding more by supplements helps soak up and remove more of the oxidants that you get due to sunlight and
other aging factors. Fatigue, diabetes etc may be depleting what your body has.
ANTI-VIRAL, ANTI-BACTERIAL:
Sciencedaily.com on November 2, 2007 reported that physicists at Arizona State University, including K.T. Tsen, had
found a new way to use femtosecond pulses from infrared lasers to destroy deadly viruses and bacteria such as AIDS,
MRSA and hepatitis while leaving human cells totally alone. It might also be against hospital
infections such as MRSA. Impulsive Stimulated Raman Scattering (ISRS) destroys the microorganisms by vibrating
the protein coat of microorganisms, similar to how high-pitched noise shatters glass.
Sciencedaily.com of November
3, 2007, reported that Professor Colin Self and Dr Stephen Thompson from Newcastle University have developed a way to
cloak antibodies then activate them by UV-A light to target a specific body area by shining a probe on it. This destroys
tumors better while decreasing damage to healthy tissue. The light therapy activates T-cells causing one's own immune
system to attack the tumor.
ARTHRITIS:
Use cod liver oil. Vitamin D in cod liver oil may keep your immune system from attacking your joints. Scientists
said the blood cancer drug MabThera also helps rheumatoid arthritis patients by 50-70%. Professor Paul Emery, from St
James Hospital, Leeds, said it provides significant relief to joint pain in just a few treatments. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1424311.html?menu=
RAISINS IN GIN: This
is said to be helpful: put raisins in a container, pour enough gin to cover them, put a cover (say, a saucer
or plate) on the top of the container; let it all soak for a day, then eat nine raisins each day afterward.
ASTHMA: In addition to getting doctor assistance and prescribed treatment, it appears good to as much
as possible get rid of mold, dust, cockroaches. If you have Lysol spray it at least once a day in your
home and sleeping area while you stay outside a few minutes. Doing so will kill many micro-organisms.
To help strengthen your immune system eat more foods with vitamin C etc, for example, oranges and brightly colored
vegetables.
Studies show asthma has improved dramatically
by the Buteyko Method that started in Russia. A recent study in Australia concluded that asthmatics could
reduce the amount of bronchodilator (commonly called Ventolin Inhaler) intake by up to 90%.
Besides asthma, the Buteyko method has helped with sleep problems, allergies, and
problems affecting the immune system, angina and hypertension (high blood pressure). People simply sit
in a comfortable position, gently breathe in and out, gradually increasing the number of seconds between your inhaling and
exhaling.
They don’t breathe in again until
they feel a definite need to, although this does not mean until holding their breath until their lungs are aching. The
goal is to try to slowly get to where they can go 60 seconds before having to exhale. The Butyeko Method may work by
causing better use of oxygen and cutting the need to have to breathe in as many irritants. The method is good for all
ages, should be done at least three times daily. It has been used for people in the most severe cases, and usually the
more severe the condition the more dramatic the improvement.
Being cold causes your body to lower its ability to circulate blood which helps fight
against micro-organisms inside the body and thus cut down your immune system. A simple way to counter the
problem is to wear warmer socks. If a person does not have a lot of hair on the head then it is good to
consider also wearing a neck scarf, cap, hat or gloves as much body heat goes out from bald or balding heads, the palms of
the hands, unclothed arms, the legs and feet, especially the toes. (altmedicine.com, wikipedia.org etc)

Proverbs 25:16,
27 says honey, a form of natural sugar, is to be used in moderation which accords with what we know about the danger of diabetes.
It is also possible that when you have too much sugar it may enable your body to also take in too much salt, thus elevating
your blood pressure. Otherwise, when in moderation, honey can be a true blessing, and the Bible also equates the Promised
Land to being a Land Of Milk And Honey.
BLOOD PRESSURE:
(Also known as Hyper-tension) Helpful appear to be garlic; also cod
liver oil. One potential problem for
people with high blood pressure, which salt makes worse, is that most meats and cheeses have salt in them. Therefore,
for such persons it is good to select meats with less salt added to them. For example chicken and fish
will typically have less salt than meats such as bacon or beef. Powdered garlic is good for flavoring meats
and eggs because it can help decrease high blood pressure. Stores sell it in the herbs section.
About half a teaspoon is said to be equal to a clove.
A study shows reducing daily
salt intake as little as one-half teaspoon (or three grams) could prevent almost 100,000 heart attacks and 92,000 deaths each
year. ScienceDaily (Jan. 21, 2010)
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/01/100121092008.htm
Memory problems and high blood pressure have
been linked:
Beet juice has nitric oxide that helps to greatly
reduce blood pressure, help the heart and physical strength:
BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS: 1 Samuel 14:31-35 shows Saul’s men ate unBLED meat to stay
alive and God forgave them although at the time Mosaic Law decreed death for eating blood. It is
true that there are pathogens in blood and so many do not eat it on that basis as well as various scriptures.
Christ notes that God wants Mercy not Sacrifice, so when human life is at stake as when a woman is bleeding rapidly
after complications from giving birth or there has been a wreck, then it would be unChristian to let someone, especially a
child or baby, die rather than let them have an emergency whole blood transfusion. Most people who oppose
such transfusions need to shown 1 Samuel 14:31-35 and it could save a life.
BRAIN: Using just 500 milligrams of vitamins C and E together may lessen Alzheimer's risks
as much as 64%, according to research in the Archives of Neurology. High fat content in the brain makes it especially
vulnerable to free radicals, but the C and E may act as antioxidant shields, says study author Peter Zandi, PhD, assistant
professor at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He says "Some studies suggest that vitamin E
does its job reducing free radicals in the body, but then its capacity is depleted; Vitamin C may recharge E." http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/02/27/healthmag.vitamin.c/index.html After 10
years of showering in manganese-contaminated water, children would be exposed to levels three times more than doses that left
deposits in rats' brains. Adults with a longer history could be exposed to doses 50% higher. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1451152.html?menu=
BREAKFASTS: To gain
weight sumo wrestlers skip breakfast since this slows metabolism because their bodies think they are starving.
The body operates on a lower physical and mental level, requiring less food, so that the extra calories get stored as fat.
A balanced breakfast has protein, carbohydrates, healthy fat and water. Protein can be eggs, fish, meat, poultry, dairy
products or beans. -- Debra Boutin, MS, RD, dietetic internship director and assistant professor, and Julie Starkel, MS, CN,
dietetic intern, Bastyr University
BREAST CANCER: Previously women have taken Tamoxifen but Arimidex was announced as able to reduce the risk of breast
cancer recurring by 75%, meaning the newer drug is 26% more effective. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1443999.html?menu=
C* Ezekial
4:9 “Also take for yourself wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt; put them into one vessel, and make bread
of them for yourself. During the number of days that you lie on your side, three hundred and ninety days, you shall eat it.”
Beans are full of soluble fiber which helps lower bad LDL cholesterol and reduces blood pressure.
CANCER: Grape seed extract with resveratrol etcis said
to make leukaemia cells 'commit suicide.' Laboratory experiments by researched used
commercially-available grapeseed extract and found that within 24 hours, 76% of leukaemia cells exposed to the extract died
through a process of natural self-destruction called apoptosis. Healthy cells remained unharmed. Previous
research has also shown grapeseed extract had an effect on skin, breast, bowel, lung, stomach and prostate cancer cells in
the laboratory. Resveratrol can also reduce the size of breast tumours in rats and skin tumours in mice.
Findings have appeared in the January 1, 2008 edition of the journal Clinical Cancer Research. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/4029892/Grape-seed-extract-makes-leukaemia-cells-commit-suicide.html Sugar in its various forms including corn syrup appears linked with cancer or its spreading,
so it can help to cut down on sugars or get rid of them as much as possible. You may need to switch from sugar that
is concentrated or refined as in sodas to sugars in fruits, although not eat too many fruits either. Research
has shown that when glutamine availability is restricted, use of glucose also stops. Also eat a
greater percent of leafy green and other vegetables, lentils, beans and nuts. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/08/090817184539.htm
Daniel 8:12 Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse (lima beans)
to eat, and water to drink.
A pilot study on humans at UCLA's
Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, showed curcumin, the main component in turmeric used in curry, suppresses
a cell signaling pathway that drives the growth of head and neck cancer. Inhibiting the pathway also correlated with reduced expression of a number of pro-inflammatory cytokines or signaling molecules
in saliva promoting cancer growth. Dr. Marilene Wang also noted “it
not only affected the cancer by inhibiting a critical cell signaling pathway, it also affected the saliva itself by reducing
pro-inflammatory cytokines within the saliva." It is much used in Asian cooking, long known to fight
inflammation. Past studies have also shown it can suppress growth of certain cancers. In India women rub it on skin to fight
aging, use it to treat menstruation cramps, and as a skin poultice for healing. Wang said to effectively fight cancer curcumin
must be used in supplement form. More studies must be done. It is cheap, non-poisonous, easy to get. The
study was in the September 15, 2011 issue of Clinical Cancer Research. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/09/110913092430.htm
Bitter Melon (Momordica charantia). Bitter Melon has been hailed as a potential breakthrough in the treatment of chronic diseases such as
diabetes, HIV/AIDs and cancer but more and better studies must be done before confirmation. A seed
extract has been shown to deter herpes virus-1 in human cells. The Department of Health in the Philippines
has recommended Bitter Melon for diabetes, and doctors also use it in India for diabetes. However studies
are preliminary, safety is a concern and any wanting to use it should consult a licensed doctor.
It has 32 active ingredients thought to help people
from viral infections, improve digestion and stimulate appetite, including for example beta-sitosterol-d-glucoside, citrulline,
GABA, lutein, lycopene and zeaxanthin. It is rich in potassium, calcium, iron, beta-carotene, vitamins
B1, B2, B3 and C. MAP30, a protein in it, is reported to have anti-cancer
effects.
Doctors at the University of Kansas Medical School and Jefferson Medical
College in Philadelphia are trying intravenous vitamin C as therapy on cancer patients. Given intravenously
C appears to kill cancer cells though studies on the vitamin taken orally show no effect that way. Intravenous
C appears to trigger the forming of hydrogen peroxide which kills some cancer cells while leaving healthy cells unharmed.
That is what lead study author Mark Levine, MD, chief of the molecular and clinical nutrition section and senior staff
physician at the National Institutes of Health says. Click to read: http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/02/27/healthmag.vitamin.c/index.html http://www.townsendletter.com/Oct2004/warcancer1004.htm Research has show green tea
may may actively kill cancer cells in leukemia as well as prevent people from developing cancer. Experts
have found a number of leukaemia cases went into remission after taking tea. It has been taken as a medicinal
drink in the Far East for more than 5,000 years. Some have claimed that it may also fight arthritis, HIV
and Alzheimer's disease. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1656747.html?menu=
Research
has shown that a large daily amount of vitamin D can greatly lower the risk of people
developing common cancers. The main best source is not from pills but sunlight. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1662266.html?menu=
A diet full of vitamin C--rich fruits
and vegetables may not only be good for your heart but lower risks of bladder, esophagus, stomach, and lung cancers.
More research is needed to discover which fruit and vegetable compound do the trick, but researchers say the association is
strong.

At an Institute of
Food Technologists meeting and food expo in 2010 Demian Dressler, DVM, known for dog cancer study, recommended severely limiting
snack foods for humans and dogs that contain ingredients rich in Omega-6, such as corn oil, vegetable oil and grain-fed red
meat. He believes oo much Omega-6 fatty acid can lead to inflammation conducive to cancer in humans too. He
also noted obesity in dogs and humans limits production of adiponectin which inhibit cancer cell growth. He
recommends cutting calories, particularly from sugar. His research is based on evidence that dogs have
similar cancers to humans. Vets use almost all the human cancer drugs to treat dogs. A dog's shorter
lifespan lets researchers see effects of drugs quickly and apply those findings to humans. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/07/100722143439.htm
CELLULITE: The Syneron Vela-Smooth is a device that gets rid of cellulite by using infra-red light to break up
fat causing the condition. It gives a deep massage, followed by a suction action. Twelve
treatments are needed and each session is about 100 dollars. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1500776.html?menu=
CHOLESTEROL: Dr. Dean Ornish promotes a diet for actively reversing plaque built up in the arteries and heart.
You eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains but don't consume nuts, oils, avocadoes (have oil), alchohol, dairy products.
You can have balsamic vinegar, whole grain mustard. Protein is not to come from meat or even fish at all but to come
from tofu which is made of soybean, egg whites (definitely not the yellow yolks) ; also you can get protein from beans and
lentils. Remember that instead of plain white rice you can get other, much better tasting types such as brown rice,
Basmati rice, wild rice. Combining black beans with rice gives a lot of protein. You can use spices such
as curry for flavoring. Read labels to check for not only any unwanted fats but also oils, salt, sugar, corn syrup, glutin,
MSG etc. He says after doing the diet for 14 days you will be motivated to continue it because you will have noticed
an improvement in your health.
Even the most lean chicken meat is some 30% fat and a source of cholesterol.
Some plant foods are protein sources, for example, soybeans. The whites of eggs are also protein
although the yellow yolk is full of cholesterol.
Using
cod liver oil may help normalize cholesterol levels. Cinnamon may lower bad cholesterol and heart-damaging
triglycerides. Red yeast rice is the most studied and
reliable cholesterol-lowering substance but drug companies have lobbied to have what appears in most bottles so diluted
that it is not very effective. It is necessary to get 10 to 13.5 monacolins
per daily dose although monacolin content often isn't listed!
(Dr Mark Stengler). Polycosnol, also available over-the-counter is said to be helpful.
Decades ago doctors said margarine was healthier than butter but eggs raised
cholesterol levels, but now we know margarine is full of hydrogenated fats so worse, and the cholesterol in eggs has hardly
any impact on serum cholesterol levels. Still, if you have a heart condition or family history for it, then it
would seem wise to not eat much butter or many eggs. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/features/medical-contradictions-so-bad-its-good-for-you-2361404.html

CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME: It appears about 95% certain the virus called
XMRV causes Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and the Whittemore Peterson Institute has renamed it XAND, short for X Associated
Neuro-Immune Disease. Check with an infectious disease specialist to see if s/he can have put you on a
list to be tested for the virus and given a prescribed medicine as soon as such is fully determined. For
the very latest see http://www.wpinstitute.org/xmrv/index.html.
Mentioned as helpful for colds when in the right amount are for example
Vitamin C, garlic, black elderberry and zinc.

Deuteronomy
8:7-9: For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land--a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing
in the valleys and hills; 8) a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; 9) a land
where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the
hills.

Scientists have found that walnuts could help stave
off dementia. When researchers led by Dr Abha Chauhan fed them to mice with Alzheimer’s, the mice kept their mental
skills but mice deprived of them suffered a dramatic loss in learning, memory, physical and emotional control. He said vitamin
E and flavonoids in walnuts help destroy harmful free radical chemicals which cause dementia. Studies from Harvard Medical
School showed benefits of coffee and exercise.
Researchers from UCLA found that people drinking tea
regularly are up to 37% less likely to have reduction in mental ability. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/186388/How-walnuts-can-help-in-the-fight-against-dementia
DEPRESSION: Meat proteins have important neurotransmitters made of amino acids. Essential fatty
acids affect mood. Omega 3 fats let neurotransmitters help to efficiently regulate mood.
Many foods have antidepressant-like
quality and act as precursors for serotonin. Eat regular, small and nutritious meals with serotonin precursors such
as tryptophan, folic acid and Vitamin B. For example:
Walnuts (omega 3 fatty acids), Dark Chocolates with
cocoa, Chicken and Turkey (tryptophan and vitamin B6), Cheddar or Swiss Cheese (tryptophan helping release serotonin), Spinach
(folic acid to help produce serotonin), Citrus Fruits or Vitamin C (maintaining RBC count and producing dopamine), Whole
Wheat (for serotonin), Popcorn (for serotonin), 5 hydroxy tryptophan also known as 5HTP (to increase serotonin),
Omega 3 fatty acids such as salmon and mackerel.
The herb
called St. John’s Wort may not only help with depression also helps with sleep, anxiety, pyscho-motor problems.
Try to use it as a tincture. It’s said to be safe but doctors watch that people be careful using it if they are
also taking the drug Lexapro for depression. Licorice and extracts of up to about three cups of tea a day helps but
long-term use can produce headaches, lethargy, sodium and water retention, excessive loss of potassium and high blood pressure.
Sunlight helps produce more serotonin. Water flushes toxins and
maintains chemical balance. Going outdoors for Fresh Air and Cardio-vascular Exercise also helps with oxygen,
circulation, getting sunshine, building a desire for water. http://www.naturalantidepressants.net/ http://www.holistic-online.com/remedies/Depression/dep_herbs_2.htm http://www.sunshine-health.com/Avoiding_Depression_With_Light.php
DIABETES,
BURNS: HONEY: use pumpkin
pie studded with cinnamon and cloves to lower high blood sugars as much as 30%. Cinnamon's
chemical structure is very close to insulin and may also triple effectiveness of the natural insulin in your body. Honey is 35% protein and half of amino acids are in honey. It has B-complex vitamins; vitamins C,
D and E. The B vitamins and the sugar content make a quick pick-me-up. Medicinally, honey has been used to help heal
wounds such as among diabetics and burn patients. The best buy is organic raw honey. But never give honey to an infant age
one or under as it may have a bacteria causing botulism. It is no risk for adults or older children. http://www.healthtip.blogspot.com/ DIABETES: SWEETENER: Luo Han Guo fruit grows in rural China. Its extract is said to
be free of dangerous side effects, and it boosts the immune system because made of naturally sweet compounds called glycosides.
It doesn't raise blood insulin levels so is also okay for diabetics. (Dr. Mark Stengler) http://www.healthtip.blogspot.com/

It grows in East Africa, Asia, and Latin America where used as a medicine and
food. It is related to squash, watermelon and cucumber. Because of its bitter taste some Westerners prefer to
take it as a tincture of about 5 ml two to three times a day; the dosage for capsules as given on the label. Some have
consumed it with milk and a lot of sugar; or used teas from stems and leafs. However, in many lands such as China
it is simply stir-fried with other vegetables (beans, lentils, tomatoes, onions), spices and sometimes with meats such as
oysters or beef.
Besides
toning down the bitter taste, there are other concerns. It should not be used by pregnant women. The red fleshy
coverings or aril around the seeds may be poisonous to children. Also its seeds have a substance harmful to some people.
The Korean name is 여주 yôju.
Its name in Vietnamese is khổ qua. The Spanish name is Carela. Thai uses มะระจีน marajin or มะระ mara.
Japanese use nigauri (苦瓜, nigauri?), tsurureishi (蔓茘枝, tsurureishi?), usually gōya (ゴーヤ, gōya).
Hindi uses karailī. Malays and Indonesians say peria, pare, or parai. Phillipinoes use ampalaya.
The World Cancer Research Fund has said red meat, sugary drinks and alcohol all increase the likelihood of
cancer but garlic could reduce the chance of getting bowel cancer. It said there is “considerable preclinical
evidence ... that supports an anti-cancer effect of garlic and some of its allyl sulphur components.” People should
eat a bulb or head of garlic a week. Eat a balanced diet with plenty of vegetables and fibre and low in red or processed
meat and alcohol. http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2007/nov/04/health.medicalresearch Non-Melanoma
Skin Cancers: According to sources, BEC5 or Curaderm has a specially purified plant
extract from the Solanum Sodomaeum, the so-called Devil's apple- which is found in the Australasia region. The extract,
known as Solasodine Glycosides, (0.005%) is also found in smaller quantities in the eggplant and aubergine.
It is
used on basal cell carcinomas (BCC) and squamous cell carcinomas (SCC). It is also called “efficacious”
with benign tumors including Keratoses, Keratoacanthomas, Sun spots, and Age spots. Numerous clinical trials in Australia and Great Britain have confirmed BEC5's ability to regress
non-melanoma skin cancers. It should not be applied to moles and melanomas, nor used by persons allergic to eggplant
or aspirin.

DIET METHODS: Research proves animal protein is not good for your health but plant
protein is: http://pagingdrgupta.blogs.cnn.com/2010/09/06/animal-based-protein-diets-increase-mortality-rate/?hpt=T2 CNN expert Sanjay Gupta notes you can get plant protein for example from beans with rice, legumes, nuts, and seeds. Oats also have protein, and they remove cholesterol,
too.
Writings by science writer Gary Taubes’ and others, many of whom include clinical evidences,
are creating a new diet movement which seems basically geared toward 1. eating less, 2. eating more vegetables, 3. eating
some fruits, 4. using olive oil and or a little wine etc to help cleanse the arteries and heart, (in contrast the Dean Ornish
diet says any oil including olive oil may cause arteries to stick and clog) 5. eating a whole lot less of meats, in particular
those that are fatty.
Obesity may be from eating too many carbohydrates instead of too
many fats. Heart disease may be from triglycerides being too elevated, not from high total cholesterol.
They become elevated because of carbohydrates from flour, granular sugar and corn syrup, rice and potatoes, which are
all too easily digested. Better for weight control and loss are proteins nuts, green vegetables, walnuts
(Ornish's diet nixes nuts due to oil in them at least for those with much artery clogging), and berries and -- as said
-- very little of the non-red meat such as from fish or turkey, instead getting protein from plant sources (Ornish nixes
all meats if you are in serious need of getting arties de-clogged but you could get protein from tofu, egg whites, beans/lentils
with rice, soy burgers etc that have zero to no more than 2% fat per serving). For your carbohydrates it
is better to eat vegetables.
For weight loss you must also cut the total
amount of food you eat, and if you have high cholesterol weigh that against consumption of too many eggs (especially try to
shun the yellow yolk), cheese and other dairy products, etc. In fact even the leanest chicken meat is still
about 30% fat. You might for example each day have at least one bowl of mostly leafy green salad (lettuce,
cabbage, turnip greens, kale, spinach, collard greens etc) with nuts (nixed by Ornish), small amounts of virgin olive oil
(nixed by Ornish) and vinegar. However, eating too much spinach may deplete your calcium.
Western style flours and sugars appear to have brought more cancer, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer's
whenever adopted in non-Western lands. Getting off the carbohydrates appears to decrease those.
Exercising some is good for muscles and general health, but by itself it does not end obesity. In
fact a lot of exercising causes people to work up an appetite. They eat more and gain more weight.
When you first wake up you may try a cup or two of hot but not too-hot water or,
say, hot lemonade; with meals sip a glass of ice water. This can help loosen the intestines so that you
void easier in the morning.
Inexpensive keto- or ketosis sticks can be used by a dieter from
the outset to see that s/he is indeed experiencing weight loss. These are little sticks sold in a drugstore.
On the end is a small square or rectangle on which the dieter urinates. The darker the square or
rectangle turns, the more the dieter is shown to be in ketosis, that is burning fat. The first few days
may show no change or little change of color.
The dieter can take some vitamins and mineral supplements
while in a high state of ketosis (burning fat) then later get those simply by eating, as said, small amounts of nuts, berries
and greens. At some point s/he may also sometimes eat a small piece of fruit such as an apple or orange
etc, but should still try hard to avoid most refined granular sugar, foods with corn syrup added into them,
potatoes, rice etc – in short foods with a lot of highly refined sugar or starches which relatively easily turn into
sugars and add on fat.
Even though triglycerides are said to be more indicative of heart
problems than cholesterol, there are doctors and patients adamant that cholesterol be kept low. For this
there are prescription medicines, and some people have chosen to consume various supplements or products also said to remove
cholesterol.
For example, after having lost a lot of weight some have used inexpensive avocados (nixed by Ornish's diet however due
to the oils in avocados), traditional style oatmeal, polycosonol (natural, from rice) etc – these being carbohydrates
but okay so long as not too many other carbohydrates are also consumed.
ENERGY: German cancer researcher Dr Michael Werner claimed he had gotten all
his energy from sunlight. He says he ate nothing for four years but drank only water with a small amount
of fruit juice. In Living through the Energy of Light he wrote he says he even put on weight, and
that he could not scientifically understand how the process worked. Other investigating German scientists
only noted that plants can synthesize solar energy but they did not know how he had stayed healthy.
Dr Helmut Oberritter of the German society for nutrition
said "It is not possible to live on what one gets from fruit juice alone. There are lots of vital
proteins and fats that are missing. Obviously this case needs a lot more investigating if we are to explain it." http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1388470.html?menu=

ESTROGENE: As the body ages there
is less of the hormone estrogene. On the TV show of Dr Mehmet Oz he recommends two teaspoons a day of flax seeds.
EXERCISE: Researchers claim you can reduce your workouts from two hours a day,
three times a week, to just two minutes a day and achieve the same results.
However, the two-minute workout requires cycling at top speed on an exercise bike in four 30-second bursts.
The study was published in the June 2005 Journal of Applied Physiology. It involved 23 men
and women aged between 25 and 35 who were tested to see how long it took them to cycle 18.6 miles.
EYE-SIGHT: Anti-oxidants including
vitamin C help prevent age-related macular degeneration (AMD). A major clinical trial by the National Eye Institute

FASTING: Probably most Christians who occasionally fast do so noting that Leviticus
23:27 in some translations speak not only of “denying oneself” but
of “fasting” and specifically speaks of doing so for a single day of twenty-four hours: Many other scriptures
in Old and New Testament parts of the Christian Bible also speak of fasting. Still, be sure to ask a doctor
about it and all the more so if you contemplate going beyond a single day. FATIGUE AND REPRODUCTION ORGANS: Decrease ammonia which causes fatigue and reproductive organ problems.
Add for example vitamin C, carotene and selenium antioxidants. One way to eat it is to roll asparagus

Vitamin D strengthens the immune system
to help it ward off different types of influenza including H1N1 swine flu, aviary/bird flu, etc. Vitamin
D helps prevent inflammation that can lead to flu-related complications such as bacterial pneumonia or lung infection.
Such inflammation was the main cause of deaths in the 1918 "Spanish Flu"
pandemic. John Cannell, MD, founder of the non-profit Vitamin D Counsel has also stated: “Current
research has implicated vitamin D deficiency as a major factor in the pathology of at least 17 varieties of cancer as well
as heart disease, stroke, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, depression, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis,
muscle weakness, muscle wasting, birth defects, periodontal disease, and more.” http://www.anh-usa.org/campaigns/about-vitamin-d/
HOT TODDY DRINK: It has been
claimed that drinking hot toddies helps fight flu. You squeeze juice from 2 lemons (not juice in a bottle)
into a container, add 1/4 cup of honey, boil, let cool to where it is warm enough to safely drink although not to where
it is totally cool or cold; possibly add some alcohol such as rum to make it even more powerful, drink it at least once
before you go to sleep, and if safe and possible also in the morning.
FOODS: Genesis

in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

HEART DISEASE:
A study shows reducing daily salt intake as little as one-half teaspoon (or three grams)
could prevent almost 100,000 heart attacks and 92,000 deaths each year. ScienceDaily (Jan. 21, 2010) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/01/100121092008.htm
A "good" diet in regard to cholesterol and
heart disease may include deep sea fish (or cod liver oil or Omega3 oil capsules) antioxidant-packed high-fiber raisins, whole
wheat bread, sesame seeds, nuts, green tea and orange and green vegetables. There are capsules with Omega3 not
only from fish but also from flaxseed, though the literature usually speaks of fish. Also good are vitamin E
(400 to 800 IU a day), vitamin C, beta carotene, garlic, red wine, Resveratrol, red grape juice, soybean constituents. All
fruits and vegetables contain various antioxidants. A study by Gene Spiller, Health Research and Studies Center in Los Altos,
California, showed when subjects switched from a Western-type high-fat, low-antioxidant diet to a good "whole foods"
diet, cholesterol oxidation dropped 21 percent within a month...... Also reduce salt intake.
Don't think "lean" chicken will help for even at its leanest it is still at least 30% fat.

Rosuvastatin works against atherosclerosis which can lead to potentially fatal conditions including heart attacks and strokes. A
study showed the drug powerfully reduces not only cholesterol but also deposits known as atheroma. Tests

CHOLESTEROL: Dr. Dean Ornish
promotes a diet for actively reversing plaque built up in the arteries and heart. You eat fruits, vegetables, whole
grains but don't consume nuts, oils, avocadoes (have oil), alchohol, dairy products. You can have balsamic vinegar,
whole grain mustard. Protein is not to come from meat or even fish at all but to come from tofu which is made of soybean,
egg whites (definitely not the yellow yolks) ; also you can get protein from beans and lentils. Remember that instead
of plain white rice you can get other, much better tasting types such as brown rice, Basmati rice, wild rice. Combining
black beans with rice gives a lot of protein. You can use spices such as curry for flavoring. Read labels
to check for not only any unwanted fats but also oils, salt, sugar, corn syrup, glutin, MSG etc.
He says after doing the diet for 14 days you will be motivated to continue it because you will have noticed an improvement
in your health.
Daniel Cobb, OMD, wrote "Reversing Heart Disease with a Vitamin," which
was published in Well Being Journal, Volume 20, Number 3 for July/August 2011. It notes that "Vitamin C
plays an important part in the immune system," is found in most foods but is compromised when the food is cooked.
When artery walls develop weak points, your body uses plaque to plug those points so that the artery walls do not break
through causing you to bleed to death. However the plaque buildup eventually becomes so thick that it clogs the arteries
and a blood clot may move in to close off the artery and bring on a heart attack. Vitamin at the right dosage causes
the arteries to repair without the build up and the plaqaue deposits eventually should fall apart and leave. Cobb notes
that as far back as 1954 Caandian G.C. Willis, MD, showed doses of 500 mg 3 times a day "made very substantial improvements
in the arterial blocages of heart patients." On the other hands there have been studies designed to show Vitamin
C is not helpful, particularly when such studies are funded by drug companies. Cobb himself says at least 6 grams and
up to as high as 18 grams per day of Vitamin C "may be a good choice."
A second article in the same July/Agust
2011 issue of Well Being Journal is by Jim English and Hyla Cass, MD, and it is titled "Vitamin C & Heart
Health." It mentions Linus Pauling's "Unified Theory" often having recommended 3,000 to 5,000 mg
per day to help prevent atherosclerotic plaque of chronic scurvy. English and Cass present a summary list, though,
which has 1. Vitamin C to bowel tolerance, that is just enough that a person does not get diarrhea, 3 grams twice a day of
L-Proline, 3 grams twice a day of L-Lysine, 90-180 mg twice a day of Co-enzyme Q10, 3 grams twice a dayof L-Carnitine, and
Niacin with 250 mg at lunch, 500 mg at dinner and 500 mg at bedtime the first day but with the amount gradually
increased over a few days until up to 4 grams a day or the highest dose, Vitamin E at 800 to 2400 IU a day.

“Could Arthritis Wonder Drugs Provide Clues For Other Diseases?” ScienceDaily
(July 17, 2008) Professor Marc Feldmann is telling other scientists that drugs he and colleagues helped
develop have proved successful against other autoimmune diseases, not just
rheumatoid arthritis.
The drugs target proteins called cytokines. "In autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis, we discovered
that cytokines are over-produced causing the immune system to fight itself, resulting in inflammation and tissue destruction,"
said Professor Feldmann, from Imperial College London, who is speaking at the EPHAR 2008 conference at The University of Manchester
the week of July 18.
"We
further found that by blocking just one cytokine -- Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) alpha -- we were able to block all the cytokines
involved in the inflammation, with remarkable clinical results."
The team's research led to the development of three anti-TNF alpha drugs
-- infliximab, etanercept and adalimumab. These have had a dramatic effect on the symptoms of
rheumatoid arthritis patients, protecting joints from further deterioration in the vast majority of cases. Blocking
TNF alpha has had further success in treating several more chronic inflammatory conditions, including Crohn's
disease, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and ulcerative colitis.
Feldmann, Head of the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology,
believes similar drugs have the potential to treat many other medical conditions, including the potentially fatal acute alcoholic
hepatitis. Professor Feldmann said that at the 2008 Congress of European Pharmacological Societies
(EPHAR) -- hosted by the British Pharmacological Society he would “be discussing the potential therapeutic targets in
tissue affected by atherosclerosis, which is caused by a chronic inflammatory response in the walls of the arteries,
in large part, caused by an excessive immune response to cholesterol.
"I will also discuss whether it is possible -- even
likely -- that cytokines play a critical role in all diseases involving multiple biological processes, thus providing therapeutic
targets for all unmet medical needs." http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/07/080717193027.htm

Don’t watch TV, eat or read in bed. When you can’t sleep leave your bed and do something

Dr. Maoshing Ni has advocated choreographed
gentle meditative exercises called Tai Chi practiced regularly 30 minutes, three times a week as these give increased energy,
decreased stress, an immunity boost against viruses, lowered blood pressure, better cognitive functioning, increased joint
mobility, improved cholesterol profile, relief from fibromyalgia symptoms, better sleep, increased leg muscle strength, better
balance and posture. Eat mostly fish, vegetables, mushrooms, seaweed, corn, and buckwheat, almost no meat
to have little heart, liver disease, negligible rates of cancer and degenerative diseases.
Seek an environment with clean air, good water, low stress, close communities, unspoiled
nature. Drink only clean, filtered water. Be positively involved with your community.
Bring nature into your life by planting more trees in your area and put them in your home. Try
to get rid of pesticides used on vegetables, hormones injected into meats and poultry, phthalates leaching from plastic bottles,
dioxins from bleached paper products. Buy organic foods and use glass containers and unbleached paper products.
Lead an active life with plenty of rest. Be learning all the time and eager to travel.

LUNGS: In addition to taking a multivitamin daily -- which one study on the
elderly showed helps prevent infections -- Dr. Stengler advises 1,000 mg of vitamin C daily and 200 mg a day of selenium to
help many people prevent viral infection. The herb Astragalus helps prevent upper respiratory tract infections. Take 500 mg
twice daily.
Maitake mushrooms enhance the immune system. Add to soups etc. Some

MEMORY: A memory pill or drug known as CX717 could soon available over the counter following
impressive early trial results. It increases the brain's computing power, reported the Daily Mail.
In a pilot trial conducted at the University of Surrey, UK, it significantly improved the mental ability of sleep-deprived
volunteers. Monkeys also showed a big improvement in a range of cognitive tests. It
must undergo further clinical trials before sale but Cortex, a California company that owns it, is considering it for treating
narcolepsy, jet lag, attention deficit hyperactivity and Alzheimer's. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1392364.html?menu= Too little

Scientists at the University of Ulm, Germany, found that jogging improves concentration
and visual memory. Participants in an experiment jogged twice a week for 30 minutes each time then were
tested. Memory of numbers did not improve very much but the ability to
recall images and complete visual tasks such as map work improved substantially. Psychologist Sanna Stroth
said the jogging activity may increase production of new hippocampus cells in the brain as well as protect existing ones.

Phytochemical-rich foods,
such as blueberries, are not only healthy food choices, but may greatly help reverse
age-related memory problems. Researchers think flavonoids found in blueberries may help learning and memory by enhancing existing neuronal connections, improving communication between cells
and stimulating the regeneration of neurons. The scientists were able to pinpoint the ability of flavonoids
to activate signaling proteins in a specific area of the hippocampus, the learning and memory-controlling part of the brain.

MIGRAINES: It may be helpful to apply and hold lemon peel to the forehead then wait a few minutes.
Migraines and tension headaches are the most common headaches. In tension headaches there is tension to the muscles
of the shoulders and neck. Muscles contract, pull on the cervical vertebra, disrupt nerve flow and impede circulation to the
head. Eliminate the tension and the headache will go away. Chiropractic, stress management, acupuncture and massage are helpful.
Migraine headaches are commonly triggered
by phenylalanine, an amino acid in MSG, artificial sweeteners and nitrates. Food companies sometimes do
not list it so look for calcium caseinate, sodium caseinate, autolyzed yeast and hydrolyzed protein. 400mg
of riboflavin for 3 months has cut headache attacks 67%. Vitamin B2 cut them 50%; in a double blind study 600mg of magnesium
caused a reduction.
"’Higher
pulse pressure was linked to up to a 50-percent reduction in the amount of headache and migraine for both men and women,’
said study author Erling Tronvik, MD, with the Norwegian National Headache Center at Trondheim University Hospital in Trondheim,
Norway. ‘The finding was not as strong, however, for people who were taking blood pressure medications, which are sometimes
used to treat migraine.’
“Tronvik says both high systolic blood pressure and pulse pressure
are related to stiff arteries and that may decrease the risk of headaches by affecting the baroreflex arch. ‘The baroreflex
arch helps maintain blood pressure, but when it is affected, it can cause hypoalgesia, a condition that makes a person less
sensitive to pain,’ said Tronvik.
“Tronvik says these results confirm previous studies which have found
that increasing blood pressure is linked to decreasing amounts of chronic pain in all parts of the body.” http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/04/080414161552.htm

MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
(MS): Adding antibiotics to standard drug therapy may slow down the progress of multiple sclerosis, research suggests. Patients showed fewer symptoms and fewer signs of tissue damage when they
took the antibiotic doxycycline alongside the MS drug beta interferon. LSU researchers believe the antibiotic
doxycycline may block the enzyme action destroying certain nervous system cells. Archives of Neurology reported the study on its website. The
attacks are from damage inflicted on the body by its own immune system, which turns on itself, attacking nerve tissues, possibly
triggered by an inappropriate response to viral or bacterial infections or other potentially disease-causing agent.
Many patients with relapsing-remitting MS take the drug interferon to help suppress the immune system and keep it working
more normally, though still prone to attacks on brain tissue.
A study focused on patients with relapsing-remitting MS who had been taking interferon
for at least six months and were still experiencing symptoms and developing new brain tissue damage. For
four months they took 100mg a day of doxycycline with their regular dose of interferon. End brain scans
revealed that brain tissue damage was reduced at least 25% in nine of them, and there were signs that disability levels had
improved. Possibly doxycycline, a member of the tetracycline family of antibiotics, blocks an enzyme destroying
nerve cells, and this protects the brain and increases effectiveness of the immune system. Dr Laura
Bell, of the MS Society, said: "Antibiotics are cheap and easily available, which would make them an attractive treatment
for MS if they were shown to be beneficial. However this study is very early stage in only 15 people with
MS and no firm conclusions can be drawn at this stage." Helen Yates, of the MS Resource Centre, said
other work was examining if MS was linked to infection from the bacterium Chlamydia pneumoniae
- more commonly associated with respiratory disease - in the brain. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7136088.stm

OBESITY:
WATER: Drinking
more water before meals is now proved to help people lose weight: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/08/100823142929.htm Brenda David, PhD,
conducted a study with 48 adults aged 55-75 years, divided into two groups. One group drank 2 cups of water prior to their
meals; the other did not. All ate a low-calorie diet. Over 12 weeks water drinkers lost about 15.5 pounds, while the non-water
drinkers lost about 11 pounds, a difference of 4.5 pounds. At that rate you would lost 19.5 pounds a year.
According to Doctor Oz on his TV show, button mushrooms, commonly found
in many U.S. supermarkets burn fat. He says try 1/2 cup a day and you can also add some balsamic vinegar with it.
Curry and tea can help weight loss by aiding a natural

ANTI-OBESITY VACCINE: Scientists
have developed an anti-obesity vaccine that significantly slowed weight gain and cut body fat in animals. Mature
male rats given the vaccine ate normally but gained less weight and had less body fat. The vaccine, described
in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, may stop "yo-yo dieting" by acting against ghrelin, a naturally
occurring hormone that helps regulate energy balance in the body.
Speaking in 2006, Prof Kim Janda of the Scripps Research
Institute, said: "Our study is the first published evidence proving that preventing ghrelin from reaching the central
nervous system can produce a desired reduction in weight gain..... We could speed quickly into human trials, maybe in a year,
but we are going to be more cautious." http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1936297.html?menu=

scientists claimed they had found a cheap, quick way to protect against the H5N1 bird flu virus. Jiahai
Lu, at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, repeatedly inoculated horses with a chicken vaccine against H5N1 bird flu to make
them produce antibodies. The horses’ blood was collected, separated out the antibodies and split
to make them less likely to cause an allergic reaction when injected into a human. They injected
mice with a tenth of a milligram of these antibodies. All the mice were alive 24 hours after given a deadly
dose of H5N1. Such antibodies could be made quickly to fight H5N1, yet most drug companies will not do
so saying it would be too complex and expensive to switch to it. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1781645.html?menu=

TRANFUSIONS: Blood contains pathogens and so eating blood puddings
etc is not wise (Acts 15:20) but scripture (read 1 Samuel 14:31-35) show emergency eating or transfusion of blood is permissible.
If any reader doubts it read 1 Samuel 14:31-35. which shows God forgave men who ate blood with meat in order to stay alive.
Further, it is also good to not eat fat or get clogged with cholesterol: “This shall be a perpetual statute throughout
your generations in all your dwellings: you shall EAT neither fat nor blood;.” (Leviticus 3:17) and yet Christians may
and generally do eat some fat. Inadvertently, anytime we eat cooked meat, we also get some blood cells along with the
meat. So, in short, it’s best to try to avoid eating or using blood (and fat), although as Solomon wisely pointed
out, there are always some reasonable exceptions.

John 19:29-30 “A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it,

said, ‘It is finished.’ With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”
VEGETARIANISM: Wanton slaughtering and eating of animals is wrong but at the same time we must be balanced
as when note that Christ produced not only bread but also fish for the crowds and apostles to eat. In fact
he once cooked fish for the apostles. David and various patriarchs were also engaged in raising sheep and
goats. For what purpose? To look at? To produce milk?
Or for assorted purposes including consumption? The priests of ancient Israel sacrificed creatures
and were permitted to eat the meat. For example read Genesis 12:7. However, again, wanton cruelty and unnecessary
slaughtering and consumption of animals is wrong. Besides, animals have a way of getting back toward those
who eat them. Too much fat or cholesterol can clog arteries and the heart, cause mental and physical sluggishness
and even death.

WORMS:
Dr. Peter Hotez of George Washington U. says roundworms may infect about 23%
of inner city black children, and tapeworms are the main cause of seizures among U.S. Hispanics. A study
by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in November 2007 found almost 14% of the U.S. population has Toxocara roundworms
possibly from dogs and cats in playgrounds; a possible cause of rising asthma cases among inner-city children in the northeastern
U.S . Cysticercosis is another serious infection caused by the tapeworm Taenia solium, resulting in seizures and other neurological
manifestations. Up to 2,000 new cases of neurological disease from tapeworms are diagnosed yearly.
Over 2% of adult Latinos may be infected. With 35 million Hispanics in the U.S. this could be tens
of thousands of cases. In Los Angeles hospitals neurocysticercosis accounts for 10% of all seizures
presenting to some emergency departments. See
