WIRETAPPING AMONG CULTISTS  HOW, WHO AND WHY The following is not directed toward any one particular cult such as Scientology, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons etc.   Too, criminal misconduct like wiretapping can be done by criminals in any group including mainstream churches.  Good and bad people are entwined in all groups. However groups given to causing people to bleed to death, sheltering pedophiles and other so-called "repentant" but highly dangerous criminals, etc, are more prone to be heavily involved in such activities. A lot of the illegal wiretapping done by people in various cults is done allegedly for noble, "righteous" purposes such as watching, disciplining in righteousness, purifying and sifting out “bad” members,  For example, one excuse is to catch and expel anyone thought to be doing unapproved non-missionary position sex, yes, including married couples. Other excuses are to protect the local body of elders, the mother organization and/or local pedophiles whom they shelter and hide, to satisfy the elders’ own busy-body peeping-Tom inclinations, to spot and expel apostates meaning those speaking against the mother organization or local elders, etc.  For example elders may talk against a certain movie or TV series they listen in closely to hear who criticises them for having done so.  Or one elder may come to your house to talk or social then leave after saying or doing something odd, then he or those collaborating will listen in to what you said after he left.   If your mobile phone’s battery runs out fast, it may be because it is being electronically tapped, thus using up the energy charge faster.  If you get a hang-up call it may actually be from a wiretapping elder or his wife; using a method called hook-switch bypass.  Spying elders and their assistants can also remotely see what is on your computer screen if they get your password or your computer system is not well-enough Wi-Fi protected.  Too, there are now extremely tiny-sized microchips that enable eavesdropping.  Although not for sale to the general public, cult policemen know who to buy them from.  Similarly there are tiny or nano-sized sound transmitters for harassing from long-distance with sounds or recorded human voices, sometimes even your own or that of a marriage mate.  Cultists love to try to cause trouble between non-compliant married couples. No, cult police or detectives are not bothered by Bible-based moral objections.  The mother organization makes its own rules and laws in the name of God.  It teaches that when God’s law (=the organization’s law) conflicts with the laws of human governments, then God’s law is greater.  Yes, they know that scripture says to be a busybody is to be no better than a murderer, but they figure that what they are doing is okay anyway because it is for the sake of righteousness.  In their own magazines they sometimes put into print that wiretapping is wrong, but secretly they do it anyway. Sometimes elders will tell you things you said or did while you thought no one else was around.  Indeed there was no one around except by electronic means.  They may also give facial expressions such as a leer when talking on some subject, or suddenly out of the blue talk about a subject for no apparent reason. Do elders have direct orders to wiretap from “Mother” organization’s headquarters officials?  Very possibly so in some cases although it’s not easy to prove.   Authorization for such illegal activities will typically, to go by perceived headship sanctioning from some scriptures, come from the head of a congregation.  However, a favorite tactic is for the head or coordinating elder to say he doesn't know everything that goes on, or for a cooperating person to hint that he himself or a group controls what goes on rather than the head elder. Many people are in a cult decades before discovering or figuring out that it is an actual cult like this.  The cult leaders believe that if a person has true love, then s/he will not do anything to turn in the wrongdoings such as wiretapping to authorities, thus putting them at risk of prison. Some on finally discovering that wiretapping etc goes on will expose the cultists' misdoings, possibly even name names.  Therefore the cultists may go after the persons to try to get them to return or else to kill them literally or get them to speak against others still in the organization so that they may be declared spiritually dead, etc.  The best recourse for persons who become the victims of such cult harassment is, as with any crimes, to involve law enforcement either doing so openly or by informative letters naming names, giving details etc.  Those who openly go to local police or the FBI need to try to document events for example by keeping a journal, photographing cars with people watching your house or apartments, etc. Victims sometimes wonder, "Why me?  What makes me so important to them?  Why all their effort and energy?"  There can be any number of reasons.  One major reason is that they are terrified you will get them arrested.  They know that you, not they, hold all the power once you become aware of what they have been doing. Remember, a cult is not necessarily a little tiny group with nutcases in it.  It can also be a large group with many innocent people in it who however are misled by criminally fanatic devotees.  The deaths, injuries and harm from cults has been readily seen in the Jonestown massacre.  With other larger but more subtle or sneaky cults, the deaths, injuries and harm are also there but are harders to see or spot.  When you do see a cult, though, one way or another, get out of it and stay out of it.
