1. "... No one is born hating another person by the color of
his skin, his origin or his religion. To hate, people need to learn, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to
love ... "(Nelson Mandela)
We human beings always try to improve our lives in society, learning to respect
differences of this or that segment of society, focusing on living in harmony, but despite that today in the XXI century,
there are groups of individuals, and even institutions authorized to operate legally, that discriminate against people, whether
by race or ethnicity, sexual preference, their socio-economic condition, or due to choice of religion.
On January 21, 2000, in Itapuã
in Bahia, as a result of fierce persecution of a religious nature, the Priestess Gildásia dos Santos and Santos, who
had been popularly known as Mother Gilda, while resisting personal attacks, invasions and depredations against her property,
died as a result, and in her honor, was enacted Federal Law 11.635/07, making the day of January 21 the National Day Against
Religious Intolerance.
Religions of African origin (Umbanda, Cabinda, Oyo, Candomblé ...), since the arrival
of the first Brazilian slaves have been the object of persecution by Portuguese colonizers, and today, incredible as it may
seem, many still suffer discrimination, often with very serious consequences, for example, as resulted in the death of the
Priestess Gildásia dos Santos and Santos at Bahia.
But there is also institutionalized discrimination being
practiced openly, glaringly so, motivated solely by questions of a religious nature, and that is not always perceived, or
disclosed, and which is being practiced by Jehovah's Witnesses, in the very face of ex-members, i.e. of people who joined
their ranks, and who later departed or were asked to leave in a manner of conduct that has already become the object of attention
from federal authorities.
If you decide to join the ranks of Jehovah's Witnesses, and for some reason decide
to depart, or if you were to be expelled, regardless of the reason for the departure, all those staying, will rigidly ignore
you, including your own family, under penalty that if not doing so (completely ignoring the call to shun), will also be expelled,
in what undeniably constitutes discrimination .
It has been suggested that former members can return to living
with the friends you had before joining the Jehovah's Witnesses, then resume their normal life; however, Jehovah's
Witnesses, implant in the minds of their members, who are Jehovah’s Witnesses, that outside all things are "worldly,”
that is, outside of Jehovah’s organization everything is part of Satan.
These unchristian practices do configure a real social
and family breakdown. The Watchtower of July 15, 2011 on page 31 says: "Suppose, for example, that the only son of an
exemplary Christian couple leaves the truth. Preferring "the temporary enjoyment of sin" to a personal relationship
with Jehovah and with his godly parents, the young man is disfellowshipped..." There would nothing less done, because
if the disfellowshipped or disassociated person is a member of the family, an immediate family member, father, mother, son,
brother, even one who lives in a separate house, the intent in for you to shun your child even as exemplified in the afore-mentioned
magazine. You are to see him/her only when dealing with an extremely necessary matter. And what about when a member no longer
believes in relgious tenants? When leaving s/he suffers the same penalty. Where is the freedom to change
beliefs and religion as laid down in the Federal Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights?
Many former believers have undergone severe
bouts of depression, countless homes broken up, there are reports of suicides, all due to this absurd practice of discrimination
against former members, advocated by Jehovah's Witnesses, as a way to make the "errant" return to their places
and thus secure their salvation, which is already the subject of a public civil action being brought by federal prosecutors
in Ceará.
Also in Ceará was the formalization of a Complaint against religious leaders of that name,
this time for the crime of religious discrimination, with the two cases (public civil action and criminal prosecution), depending
on the manifestation of the Supreme Court in Brasilia / DF, which makes sure that this subject has begun to receive attention
from people in general.
There is also the decision of the 9th Criminal Chamber of the Court of the State of São
Paulo, whose deliberations led to submission of a couple of Jehovah's Witnesses to trial by Jury for murder (with intent
to kill) that dealt with the death of their own younger daughter, who was not allowed a blood transfusion, also for reasons
of religious conviction.
It is undeniable that the Brazilian Constitution allows and encourages freedom of religion but, like all freedoms,
this can not be absolute, being subject to parameters of course, materializing various abuses such as the discrimination against
former followers of Jehovah's Witnesses encounter, hence the importance of this on the National Day Against Religious
Intolerance.
The parable of the Good Samaritan fits
well for reflecting upon "who is my neighbor." In this parable, Jesus demonstrated that affection – that is
love, salvation of the soul depends is independent of the creed which people profess. What matters is to help others, be tolerant,
whether or not one professs a religion.
Therefore, on this Jan. 21, let’s recall the memory of those who
died as a result of religious discrimination, and those who suffer misfortune resulting from such discrimination, which thereby
unites our hands, our strength and our lungs, waving to the four corners of the Brazil while trumpeting: RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION
IN BRAZIL IS A CRIME! By disseminating and discussing this topic, we shall certainly be building a better
country!

EX-JEHOVAH'S
WITNESSES IN BRAZIL TESTIFY AT BRAZIL'S CONGRESS, ANNOUNCE
EXPANSION TO HELP OTHERS PERSECUTED BY RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS
Public Hearing In Federal Legislature
Sebastian Ramos notes in an email just received that “The movementof formerJehovah's Witnesses has wonnational recognition for
its persistence infighting for freedom ofconscience
andreligiousbelief, and for not acceptingdiscrimination.”
Following are some links that originally
were in Brazilian Portuguese but from which some information and quoted excerpts have been translated into English; a TV camera
was running constantly at the hearing:
“The Commission on Human Rights and Minorities (CDHM) on Wednesday, Nov.
23, met at 2 PM, on the ninth floor of Annex II of the House of Representatives, to hold a public hearing to discuss proposals
aimed at the promoting of religious tolerance andthe rights of recognized religious communities, including
those of traditional African-origins which have suffered religious prejudice.
With the advent of Civil Public Action in MPF/ EC against the entities
that sponsor religious discrimination against former "Jehovah's Witnesses," the Federal Deputy Manuela D'Avila
(PCdoB) of the President's Commission on Human Rights and Minorities, sent an invitation to the movement of those who
had been disfellowshipped (excommunicated) and dissociated, for voluntarily appearing at said hearing in order to have claims
recognized as an immeasurable contribution toward freedom of beliefs in Brazil.
Our approach at the hearing centered on several fronts, both the oral and the
visual. We started by saying that our initial battle against religious persecution was not very easy because we did not have
the support of the press, and so needed to use alternative media - banners, posters, pamphlets, public demonstrations and
engaging in social forums.
Since
the first complaint that the State Prosecutor's Office made in 2009 against two leaders of religious hate crimes, we now
have had some air time on TV, and since the last filing with the Public Civil Action, yet to be published, by the MPF (Federal
Prosecutor’s Office), our case has gotten even greater visibility, with airing from TV Globo, SBT and newspapers in
several states.
Before the hearing began,
we distributed leaflets to aides, parliamentarians and the public who were there to participate in other open hearings at
the House and Senate, not to mention that our own presence stimulated questions. We delivered a copy of the Public Civil Action
to Rep. (PT) Luiz Couto - PB and the Secretary of the Commission on Human Rights and Minorities in the House, Marcio Marques
de Araujo.
Such violations of human
rights have been a serious and constant concern for the political and judicial authorities as well as critics, especially
following the detection of some unusual religious persecution, committed by other religious denominations against former members.
So what could we say about those of us who have been persecuted in an institutionalized way? It
was also reported that we as former Jehovah's Witnesses, are already on the map of religious intolerance in Brazil.
The absence of freedom of worship, historically, has
reached members of diverse religions, and the potential is there also for violence against African citizens who suffer from
registering cases of abuse against their priests and priestesses; prejudice also directed against children from families linked
to these religious confessions.
Besides suffering acts of persecution, the home properties
of Umbanda, Candomblé and others who have been made pariahs have been destroyed. In the face of such cruel circumstances, a phenomenon has developed - a fight against religious
intolerance coming from the efforts of social and religious organizations so that the oppressed now articulate and press the
government to ensure freedom of worship. Without a doubt, we are seeing a new era in that Article XVIII of the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights, very soon, shall have been faithfully executed in Brazil, to wit:
"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion:
this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief as well as freedom to manifest his religion or belief in teaching,
practicing, worshipping and doing observance, individually or collectively, in public or in private."
We expressed Thanks to the following and requested that
application for a public hearing take place: Erika Kokay (PT-DF), Jean Willy (PSOL-RJ), Mrs Janet Richardson Pieta (PT-SP)
as well as Luiz Members Couto (PT-CP) and Luiz Alberto (PT-BA), not to forget Mrs Manuela D'Avila (PCdoB) serving with
the Federal (U.S.) President's Commission on Minority Rights.
The movement of former Jehovah's Witnesses of Ceara has added to the struggle against religious intolerance, by now
demonstrating concrete and effective actions, innovatively in the political and legal arenas. Also add to this litigation
by and in the Federal and State branches.
However, with the rising tide of religious persecution, we have decided to build an association that can accommodate in
an even wider sense victims of religious prejudice, namely, ABRAVIPRE, the Brazilian Association for Victims of Religious
Prejudice.
Today, there is not only racial discrimination per se, but we have need to take note of a new kind of racism that comes
with the added weight of religious bigotry and affects all societal strata and religions. It is not by chance that from the
beginning of our fight against extremist shunning, we have been receiving numerous reports from people who were discriminated
against by other religious denominations.
This is the rationale for our construction of an association that can accommodate thousands of victims of religious prejudice
in the legal sense and emotionally.
Therefore, the rebellion and the dynamism of Ceará, should continue to be exported to other capitals through events
like this. Our motto will remain the same - to fight against injustice and discrimination; therefore, this banner is the best
ointment for those who suffer from social excommunications and deaths which have beensponsored on behalf
of religious fanaticism.
Our
Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses of Ceará shall fight on for the right to have the freedom to change religions without suffering
persecution."
As
requested, our fellow fighter for justice against Watchtower misdoings, namely Sebastian Ramos, sent an email dated November
26, 2011 7:25 AM which includes a link to a Brazilian federal government website post with a notice to the public; namely:
http://noticias.pgr.mpf.gov.br/noticias/noticias-do-site/copy_of_geral/mpf-ingressa-com-acao-contra-entidade-que-patrocina-discriminacao-religiosa-e-socialThe Federal Prosecutor General in Brazil in the notice’s
headline dated July 21, 2011 when translated says that it has been brought up that there is discrimination meted from and
unto other family members among Jehovah’s Witnesses. This violates Brazilian constitutional law and
a case based on the discrimination was launched by Sebastian Ramos.
No date for hearings or rendering of a verdict is noted in the article, and the article has been around several months
already although possibly only recently posted. It appears clear that in Brazil as in the United States
the Justices will be setting their own date for these matters and in the meanwhile they are consulting and deliberating on
this case and likely a number of other highly important case.So patience is key, and we need to recall
the old adage which says that “the wheels of justice grind slowly but exceedingly fine.”
After the United States no nation on earth has as many Jehovah’s Witnesses as
in Brazil. The article gives a short but very clear explanation of disfellowshipping, notes that the federal
prosecutors based in Ceara state in northeastern Brazil have a civil action against the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society
association as well as the Biblical and Cultural Association also located in Ceara state, in the city of Fortaleza. The lawsuit seeks to stop Watchtower from directing the practicing of discrimination against former associates who
were disfellowshipped or disassociated themselves, under penalty of a fine amounting to $ 10,000 (Brazilian) per identifiable
act.
Watchtower even teaches active Jehovah’s Witness family members to not even say
“Hi!” to ex-Jehovah’s Witness family members.Prosecuting attorney Nilce Cunha Rodrigues
who authored the case emphasized that "No one is given the right to discriminate against persons on religious grounds,
nor exert any pressure to keep someone affiliated with a religious entity."Moreover Watchtower’s
discrimination is “blatant and intolerable.”This would be prohibited by all means of communication
including oral preaching, books, pamphlets, the internet, radio and television as well doctrinal guidelines or communications. The article concludes by noting that
Jehovah’s Witnesses began in the late 1800s in the United States.Their Watchtower organization has
branches in over 100 nations around the world.

BRAZILIAN
FORMER JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES FIGHTING FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AGAINST WATCHTOWER SOCIETY OVER JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES. THEY
ASK YOU TO LEND SUPPORT. HERE'S HOW.
Sebastian
Ramos was a Jehovah's Witness in northeastern Brazil who used to write letters to editors of internet newspapers
in defense of the Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses. However, the Watchtower Society disfellowshipped
(severely shunned) him for doing so because they insist only their official spokesmen are allowed to do that. So
disfellowshipping is a type of excommunication that isolates people from family and friends to such an extent some victims
have even suicided.
Other
former Jehovah's Witnesses in Brazil came to support the cause against the Watchtower Society after Sebastian
Ramos began a lawsuit. Billboards in Brazilian cities are now telling what happened. Not just Jehovah's
Witnesses and former Jehovah's Witnesses are interested, but so are regular citizens and human rights activists. The Watchtower
Society's defendants' attorneys have tried to block the lawsuit but it is now heading toward the Supreme Court.
The
lawsuit by Sebastian Ramos contends that the Watchtower Society's policy of disfellowshipping outright violates article
14 of Law Code 7.716/89, the federal Constitution of Brazil and the Univeral Declaration of Human Rights.
Realizing
the international importance of this issue, Sebastain Ramos now asks that readers about it please send copies
to news editors and other persons so that they will also know what is happening. Disfellowshipping effects
not only former Jehovah's Witnesses in Brazil but doubtlessly, for example, hundreds of thousands in the United States
and millions around the globe.
Besides the billboards, they have also taken the information campaign to people on the boulevards
and in public squares, used tracts, distributed thousands of copies of texts published in newspapers, used sound truck,
and formed an inter-religious forum for supporters and participants in the fight against discriminatory disfellowshipping.
Disfellowshipped
and disassociated people are now organized in all states of Brazil in the fight for their rights. It is no coincidence that
prosecutors feel accountable to the call for justice.
Support has come for example from authorities and institutions such
as the Human Rights Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, the Mayor of Fortaleza and alderman John Alfred, vice president
of that institution, and especially the office of Frei Tito de Alencar linked to the Human Rights Commission of the Legislative
Assembly of Ceará. Their lawyers now see themselves as private prosecutors in the judicial process.
Sebastian Ramos says “I already feel victorious for having denounced [the violations] as
[a] great affront to human dignity...... For those who suffer from this violence, a message: Heads up! Courage! "Great
Walks begin with small steps." (Oriental Proverb.) He concludes an appeal for our assistance by signing it as Sebastian
Ramos, Federal Public Servant (UFC): sebastianramos7@gmail.com
So how might you the readers
show support and help out? One way is to inform news reporters in your various nations as quickly as possible.
Another way would be to email supportive letters to his email address and saying in those that he has your permission to show those to others including
officials in support of his efforts and to state that his cause is not just for helping Brazilians but yourselves and others
worldwide.

ACTIVITIES BY BRAZILIAN FRIENDS OF U.S. EX-JW'S
AGAINST WATCHTOWER'S WORLDWIDE DISCRIMINATION
Sebastian Ramos, Leading The Battle Against Watchtower Discrimination
Social Entities are protesting
the decision of the TJCE (Court) - Campaign against religious discrimination hitting the streets
After the first disclosure of the complaint through
billboards, made in August, the case has become more visible in society and, in turn, broadened the debate, even among union
members, for fear of seeing more workers in the future could be punished by calls to bully them.
The groups that
make up the Forum of Religious Diversity at Cearense, once again, resume their campaign for constitutional rights and religious
tolerance. On September 16, Thursday, there was a rally outside the Court of Ceará to reaffirm that
the authorities will not give up their fight against religious discrimination under which former members of the Church of
Jehovah's Witnesses suffer. During the speeches by their representatives, it was said that magistrates should reevaluate
their best decision that suspended the action against the pastors, in view of the fact that the process had been built in
the light of a police inquiry, prosecutor, and finally, that the Judge dealing with the complaint is embraced by the 6th Criminal
Court. We were privileged to have with us the presence of a dissident couple who came from Sao Paulo to Fortaleza to know
more about our movement against religious discrimination that was on the agenda.
After the first disclosure of
the complaint through billboards, made in August, the case became more visible in society and, in turn, broadened the debate,
even among union members, out of fear that in the future more workers may be persecuted by such bullying. It was no accident
that the lawyers of the Office Frei Tito de Alencar, linked to the Human Rights Commission of the Legislative Assembly of
Ceará State, said that the extinction of the action results in a risk to organizations of civil society organizations.
To Wit:
"Thus, this Office is made
available for any clarifications on the case, manifesting itself in order that Ceare make repair to the mistake that was caused,
so that civil society organizations can protect themselves from unlawful acts committed within the Religious Associations
and in view that the Brazilian State guarantees to all, in addition to the freedom of worship, equal opportunities to live
and relate socially. "
Before the implacement of attorneys who are preparing a petition in order to appeal
the decision of the Court, the Religious Diversity Forum of Ceare, through its participants, definitely resolved once more
to publicize the event through billboards, to inform society that religious discrimination continues to be applied against
the individual liberties of the people.
Two billboards were installed in public areas of Fortaleza on 17/09/210,
one in Avenida Santos Dumont. Noteworthy, there is spectacular lighting in that location, and moreover, there are spotlights
above the billboard, not counting that the same is near a traffic light. Another billboard was installed at the exit of the
Administrative Center of the State Government - Cambeba - where the Court is also located. Additional billboards are being
installed at strategic points in the town.
Entities that support the movement: the Forum of Former Jehovah's
Witnesses, Religious Diversity Forum of Ceara; DCE - Central Directory of UFC Students; the Afro-Brazilian Cultural Association
- ALABGA; UNEGRO – the Union of Blacks for Equality; Afoxé Acabaca; National Secretariat of the Black Movement
- PDT; FENEECE: the State Forum of Black Entities of Ceará, among others.
The Stand of the Human Rights
Office
In a statement, the Office of Human Rights and Legal Persons, via Frei Tito de Alencar has said it
is surprised by the decision of the TJCE ruling for the locking action.
Read the note from the Office of Human
Rights in its entirety
NOTICE RE THE CASE OF RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE
The Office of Human Rights and Legal
Persons -- Frei Tito de Alencar, linked to the Human Rights Committee of the Legislative Assembly of Ceará, through
this note, shows his consternation with the recent decision by the Honorable Court of the State Ceará, in the records
of Habeas Corpus Action No. 40832-87.2010.8.06.0000 ordering the closing of Public Criminal Action Public the event of Religious
Intolerance promoted by elders of the Church against Jehovah's Witness disfellowshipped members, by preventing them to
continue maintaining contact with friends and relatives still persevering in the Church.
The case was brought to
this office in November of 2009, when he began investigations into the complaint sought, from the police inquiry, and on April
14 this year, the State Prosecutor promoted complaint, if it be rightly understood in its dealing with the offense described
by art. 14 of the Act of Racism (Federal Law No. 7.716/89), which provides: "Section 14. Prevention or impediment, in
any form or manner, to marriage or family and social relations. Penalty: imprisonment from two to four years. "
Similarly, the Criminal Judge received the complaint and told the elders to present their defense. Thus, the defendants
filed a Habeas Corpus before the Court of the State demanding the closing of the criminal action. This habeas corpus was granted
and dismissed on August 31, 2010.
The social repercussions of the case is indisputable, so that it has stirred
much visibility in the gathering of testimony from several former members of the religion witnessing the discrimination, as
well as through the Interreligious Forum that discusses the theme and the inclusion of the theme in various media .
Certainly, no one raises issue with the criteria for being excommunicated from the Church, nor the freedom of belief or
religious interpretation. However, the transcendant fact is clear: being unable to maintain good relations with family and
friends because of religious reasons, ie, disassociation from the Church. It is considered therefore that this case fits in
its dimensions appropriate to the offense as laid out.
Notice that this deals not merely with two members of the
religion, it brings to bear strong psychological pressure and a campaign waged against the disfellowshipped. Moreover, the
right to social life and family is Constitutionally guaranteed, and no citizen shall be deprived of its exercise, perhaps
by the orders of religious bodies which seek to punish only those who are no longer part of them.
Thus, this Office
is made available for any clarifications on the case, manifesting itself in order that Ceara’s justice repair the mistake
caused, so that civil society organizations can protect themselves from unlawful acts committed within the Brazilian State
and Religious Associations guaranteeing unto all, besides the freedom of worship, also equal opportunities to live and relate
socially.

ALERTA!
(ajwrb.org; o livro Blood On The Altar por David A. Reed)Porquê?

ALERT!These are facts about the main men in the Watchtower Society over Jehovah’s Witnesses. They
endanger the children of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Public. They give orders to the local leaders
of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The local leaders are called the Elders.Their leaders
hide and protect pedophiles among Jehovah’s Witnesses instead of tell other Jehovah’s Witnesses who the pedophiles
are.The pedophiles can more easily hurt the children. Some Elders of the Watchtower
Society are also pedophiles.(Confirm at silentlambs.org or google.com)
Some sources estimate that from
1945 until now approximately 250,000 JWs and their children have died after refusing emergency blood transfusions.(ajwrb.org; the book Blood On The Altar by David A. Reed)Why?Watchtower Society
leaders teach scriptures that say to abstain from blood. But they do not at the same time teach 1 Samuel
14:31-35.It shows God forgave Saul’s men who ate meat with blood in it to stay alive. Also Christ says at Matthew 12:7 that God wants Mercy not Sacrifice.Watchtower Society leaders
also order Jehovah’s Witnesses to shun other Jehovah’s Witnesses who peacefully dissent in beliefs. This has often destroyed families of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
There are good Eldersand
other Jehovah’s Witnesses, but the Watchtower Society’s leaders endanger both Jehovah’s Witnesses and the
Public. Please remember that many Jehovah’s Witnesses are victims of the Watchtower Society, too.Do not donate any money that helps the Watchtower Society. If you want to help their children and
children of the Public, please donate to help other groups or silentlambs.org. You also have permission
to make and distribute copies of this.It is from Christians of different beliefs. We agree the way of Christ is love. Also families and children need information to stay safe and

O FUTURO DO CÉU E DA TERRA.
Embora Ecclesiastes 1:4 diz a Terra nunca terminará, é igualmente verdadeiro que Cristo e a Bíblia dizem
que o céu e a Terra passarão afastado embora um céu nova e uma terra nova venham. (Leam Mateu 24:35;
Lucas 21:33; Revelação 21:1) Conseqüentemente precisamente como Ecclesiastes 1:4 diz, as gerações
de seres humanos vieram e foram e nossa planeta Terra igualmente desaparecerá mas então para será recreado;
e neste sentido permanece definitivamente para sempre. Revelação 19:1 diz que uma "grande multidão"
está no céu, não na Terra. Leam isso, por favor. Para compreender melhor, por favor igualmente
leam e reflitem em João 14:2, 3; 1 Coríntios 15:20, 2 Coríntios 5:1, 2; Gálatas 1:8, Filipenses
3:20, Tiago 1:17. A Terra retornada ao paraíso será lindo, mas recorda esta: os céus estrelados
são ainda mais extraordinárias e nosso Pai tem "muitas mansões" incluindo muitos outros planetas
encantadores, sistemas vastos de estrelas e galáxias.

SOME LARGER PHOTO COPIES ARE FOUND FARTHER BELOW
During late 2010 through 2011 former Jehovah's Witnesses and Friends
(Brazil, US, Canada, Tobago & Trinidad, the U.K. etc) protested the Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses
for destroying families and lives. Used were banners like those seen here in photos, sample protest letters with
handy addresses, TV and radio news in some nations, especially Brazil and Italy. The chief objective was to begin
making clear to that the Watchtower Society heads over Jehovah's Witnesses promotes cruel discrimination.
These protest demonstrations are done with loving intent and in truth to expose not "shunning"
per se which the U.S. Supreme Court has already ruled as permissible, but rather discrimination against an entire class
of people, those who have peacefully dissented and left the Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses and in retaliatory
consequence as promoted by Watchtower been cruelly, ostracised by those family members, friends and business
associates still remaining with the Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses. The fruits of this extreme
hate policy have resulted in people sometimes suiciding, often not speaking for decades.
Active Jehovah's
Witnesses themselves are discriminated against by their own top leadership at the start of 2011 consisting of seven
members of an international board called the Governing Body located currently in Brooklyn, New York. Watchtower teaches
Jehovah's Witnesses to discriminate against former Jehovah's Witnesses in violation of the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights as seen here:
Article 18.
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public
or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
As writer Stephen E Lucas has noted, "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" is one of the most famous phrases in the United States Declaration of Independence and considered by some as part of one of the most well crafted, influential sentences in the history of the
English language.[1] These three aspects are listed among the "unalienable rights" or sovereign rights of man. Therefore, Watchtower's discrimination also violates these unalienable
rights of man.
The extreme nature of Watchtower's discrimination has far more than a dampening affect on both
Jehovah's Witnesses and former Jehovah's Witnesses. It is a tool of tyranny that enables Watchtower for
example to utterly snuff out basic constitutional rights in not only the U.S. but nations around the globe, for example the
right to vote for better representation. Using this policy and hate tool also enables Watchtower to coerce
all Jehovah's Witnesses to not take even emergency blood transfusions to stay alive, hence the depriving of right to life.
Jehovah's Witnesses deserve as do all citizens in the U.S. and globally to enjoy freedom to exit the Watchtower
organization without retaliation. Currently Watchtower's ploy is to dismissively say "well, they are free to
go" without admitting that Watchtower employs follow-up punishment that gravely affects not only Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses
but those remaining as active members. Thus it harms its own members who however are not free to speak out for if they
do then they too become discriminated against.
The Watchtower Society similarly seeks to keep hiding behind guise of religious freedom as if it were
without natural bounderies while denying such freedom to its members and former members. The U.S. Supreme court
ruled concerning polygamy during the late 1800s that while Mormons have a constitutional right to different views they do
not have a right to disobey the law. Further, common sense shows there are natural, balanced limits on what a religious
organization can do in human society as when religious human sacrifices are not permitted under the law of the land, and it
is fact that continously the courts have rightly stepped in and protected the lives of children whose lives are imperiled
at times in groups such as Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Scientology etc.
Watchtower, January, 1993, page 19. Can reasonable readers conclude other than this teaches hate?
The Watchtower, October 1, 1952, page 599 shows consistency of hate over the decades.
In the 1940's attorneys acting for Watchtower won a fine reputation of championing rights for a minority
religion but thereafter Watchtower has sought to mute all internal dissent as when for one example Watchtower harmed Bill
Bowen and Barbara Anderson after they spoke out against Watchtower's policies weighed heavily for sheltering
and protecting pedophiles instead of protecting the children of Jehovah's Witnesses and the Public. See
http://www.silentlambs.org. And as a further example they are alleged to be into heavy electronic surveillance
of people even in the bedrooms, corridors, and parking lots at its world headquarters in Brooklyn and upstate New York buildings.
People deserve the right to believe as they wish even as the law says but it also says they are to obey the laws of
the land. If a religion is not seen to obey the law then the recourse is to existing law, if there is enough money to
seek redress via the courts, and if not with the needed money then to protest and demonstrate long enough to educate the Public.
That's what is therefore being done in a very natural way as seen here on this webpage and also in the real-world where
an entire class of people are being unlawfully discriminated against.

The following is a posting of encouragement from Roberto de Stefano of Italy to Rick Fearon of Massachusetts
(USA):
Well done Rick!
I know, one may feel discouraged by the tiny number of protesters. But what really counts is
that these public protests have started.
We in Italy didn’t know earlier last year that there was the Brazilians had decided to
organize their protest to take place on January 21st.
We had our in Rome, in front of the Italian Parliament on December 1st.
The reason we had it then rather than now is that our objective was to counter a law project which was being examined by the
Parliament exactly during that period, in order to prevent its acceptance. That law would give larger freedom to the Watchtower
in that country with several added privileges, one of which is collecting 0.8% of the income taxes for the Watchtower “social”
values.
We
had a chance to give two conferences publicly on the square in front of the Parliament. The first was by Achille Aveta who
is a long time dissident, who participated in the translation of Ray Franz, Jim Penton and Carl Olof Jonsson books. I was
the second speaker to expose this crime against the freedoms granted by the Italian Constitution and the Declaration of the
Human Rights. Reference was made to the Brasilian manifestations and court case which took place already last year, and the
court case in Belgium, which after three levels of judgment, as to be re-examined by the appeal court next month of April.
We take these initiatives
seriously, as it is only by widening the protest that we will be heard. This is why, the manifestation in Rome was preceded
by TV interviews one of which lasted an hour and was followed by several TV programs to explain why we did hold the manifestation.
This has created a reaction from the WT branch office in Rome who wrote to the TV owner trying to intimidate them. But even
after this intimidation letter, a new interview took place in the same TV station.
Thousands of tracts exposing the WT in this discrimination issue were distributed in Rome that day and in the following
weeks, on the public squares. This tract distribution has continued during the month of December and January
in other Italian cities.
Not to let the fire die, we plan other initiatives during the year in Italy. Our next meeting, with people
coming from all over the country will take place in March in one of the large Italian cities. We got support even from the
local Police Union !
During my conference in Rome, I proposed people to join me in the protest against the WT ostracism during the trial
in Belgium which will take place I April. Some of the attendees have expressed their interest, even if this will mean traveling
far at their own costs.
I am in contact now with the dissidents in Belgium and in France and will try to get the protest going during the
trial.
It is not the NUMBER of people participating in the manifestations that is really the key. We NEVER had any
manifestation in the past, and now, in spite of the relative small number of participants we have had our FIRST one! The fact
that we had our fist one give us the motivation to continue, getting more and more attention and participation as people start
to be more bold.
This is why we encourage you not to be defeatist and stop even before you start, but to stand up and get together
with others who have the same motivation and plan your next move.
I personally believe that we should get our act together internationally, setting
up a kind of organized group to start at least by exchanging ideas, plans, experiences and in the long run be a strong entity
standing up against the Watchtower.
Expectations need to be managed. No one in its sane mind could expect that from one day to another things
will change, nor should we expect to take down the WT.
Our aim should be a clear and loud voice to let the public opinion know about the dangers of
becoming a JW. We should not fight the disfellowshipping provision. Any entity has the right to establish its entrance and
expulsion procedures and principles. But NO ONE has the right to teach its members to hate their ex members , ostracizing
them and discriminating them. At least in Europe this is against the law, but unfortunately when the WT organization has been
“recognized” as a religion in most European countries, this issue was NEVER brought up by opponents. The only
earlier issues were blood, military service and political elections, but the discrimination issue was never brought up before.
The court cases in Brazil
and in Belgium are probably the first ones where “discrimination” is the charge against the WT. I don’t
know what the case is in the USA, but if we do not try we will never know.
